-Niall's POV-

"Daddy!" Little Hannah said running up to me. I smiled down at the little girl running towards me. Wrapping my arms around her, I lifted her in my arms. "Daddy! Guess what? Grandma. Yeah she gave me TWO cookies! Not one! TWO!" I laughed as she explained how her grandma was the best.

"Hello Niall dear," Anne said kissing my cheek. "How are you doing?"

"Well," I sighed, mentally preparing myself for her response. "Since Carter left, not so good."

"Oh dear," Anne replied, wrappy Hannah and I both in a hug. I knew that would happen. "She will be home soon. I know she will."

"I know," I sighed. "But she's missing Christmas. This isn't like her." Anne knodded, making a spot on the couch for us to sit. Hannah wiggled out of my arms and ran for the play room upstairs. I didn't mind, I will probably be here while anyways.

Anne sat next to me, waiting for my reaction. I didn't want to react. I didn't want to tell her how much I missed Carter. I wanted Carter to be here. With me. Right now. Here. "I don't know when she is coming home. She has stopped answering the phone. Every time I bring it up to Harry, he gets all weird. Zayn and Perrie are busy most of the time. Louis won't answer the phone and neither will Liam." Anne nodded, taking in my information. Why was I talking to Anne? I could have gone home with the kids this weekend, spend Christmas there. Talk to my mom about this.

"Well sweetie," Anne said softly. "It's Christmas. Harry and Carter seem to be at an off right now. Harry called me and talked about it. And the other boys must have other plans." I didn't want it to be right but it was. Harry did seem kind of weirded out. But why wouldn't he tell me. Carter and him are like best friends. Siblings or not. "I'll get Luke ready." She got up from the couch, walking up the stairs to get the little boy.

"Daddy?" Hannah whispered, crawling onto my lap.

"Yes baby?"

"Where's mommy?" I looked down at the small child, hair back in a pony tail. Obviously done by herslef. Her big blue eyes beamed up at me, waiting for the answer she wanted but wasn't going to get. I pulled her head in, kissing her forehead softly.

"She'll be home soon. Don't worry sweetie."

-Carter's POV-

"Can I leave?" I whined like a teenager, walking into the army base camp. Liam laughed, just shaking his head. "Liam, you do realize it's Christmas back at home and I can't see my kids or husband because of this shit?"

"'This shit' Carter, is what is keeping your family alive," Courtney added in as she followed behind me. I glared at her, wanting to come back with a snappy remark but nothing would come. Not even a 'shut up' because I knew she was right.

We got to the underground level, seeing there was a hidden base camp under it. There was officers everywhere. Electronics detecting the enemy. It was a legit set up.

"I haven't been in one of these for a couple years," I admitted, coming over to the mega computer. Speaking of which, I haven't really been able to hack into anything for a while. There was no need to. I guess I could check back home. Yes, I did but in a secereity camera in every room in the house. Just in case. But I'd rather not.

"Agent C," A big black man boomed, walking towards us. I got up from the seat I was seated on, facing the man. He was huge. Like massive. Reminded me of a neighbor I once had who would be me ice cream when I was 11. "Glad to see you made it here okay." No.. I died. 7 times. Ass whole.

"Carter and Liam are the ones going undercover sir," Courtney says softly. Why the hell you whispering? Just a minute ago you were yapping your mouth about Louis.

I rolled my eyes, waiting for what the general had to say.

"Carter and Liam," he boomed. Damn, you don't have to yell. We're all in the same room. "The plan is simple. You will go undercover as two locals, buying bread from the market. In that market, Liam will knock over a whole tray of bread, making the attention towards him. Whist in that process, Carter will sneak behind the the counter and placed this, a small bomb and speaker under the counter." He help up a small red and green button. Small, but dangerous. That's what it said on it as well. Not kidding. "It seems easy but it's dangerous. Once you've placed this in it's rightful spot, you need to get out of there. You have exactly 50 seconds to make it out that front gate."

"What about the people inside?" Liam finally spoke up. "There is a whole town in there with family and children."

"That's where you're wrong Liam," General smirked. "They only let a family in at a time. In case of people like us. Who want to put a stop to this."

"So they wait until that family is done getting supplies? This could take forever general. We might not even get in."

"We have this all planned out Carter. Please do not worry."

"No worry?" I scoffed. "You have no damn right to tell me not to worry. If this doesn't work out, my family gets hurt. And if that happens, there is no with in this god damn world I will not flip a bitch. You tell me not to worry one more time, I will rip your head off." I got up in the generals face, making everyone around me act surprised. Even me.

"You will have to exscuse her," Courtney said, pulling me away. I threw her hand off my arm, pushing her back a little.

"Let's get this over and done with," I cursed lowly.

Who the hell do they thing they are talking to? Who they are dealing with?
