Rhett's POV
There has to be so some way we can stop them. There has to be. I sighed and sat down on the couch. Jessie walked over to me.
"Today was such fun. We really should do things like that more often. Was that Link's idea?" she asked.
"Yeah, it was. Jessie, we were asked to try to figure out a way of stopping all of the vampires. I've been wracking my brain and I just can't think of anyway of stopping them. Do you have any ideas?"
"Well, let me think. They're all over the world, so you have to try getting them all in one place or at least in groups. That place you went to the other day, they have locations all over the world as well, don't they?" she asked.
"Yes, they do."
"Well, maybe the headquarters could each do something to get them together near their buildings. After doing that, maybe they could use something to kill them all at once. Like garlic. I don't know, that's the best I can offer. Hope I was at least a little help," she said.
"That might work, Jessie. Maybe they could somehow make a gas from the garlic and poison them. But how could we get them all together?"
"Well, they drink blood. I know this is morbid, but maybe they could put animal blood all over a certain area. That might draw them in. Is this actually a good idea because I think it sounds kind of ridiculous, truthfully."
"It may sound that way, but keep in mind, we're dealing with vampires. That also sounds ridiculous, Jess," I said and laughed.
"True, true. So, I actually helped?" she asked.
"Yes, you did. Thanks sweetheart," I sad and gave her light kiss on the lips.
"Of course, dear," she smiled.
I pulled out my phone to call Link and tell him the news. I waited patiently as the phone rang.
"Yes?" Link asked. His voice sounded panicked.
"Link, are you alright. Did something happen?" I asked.
"Rhett, Lando was attacked by a vampire. He wasn't bitten, but I don't know what to do. Please help. Christy and the other kids are gone. The other vampires took them. I tried to stop them, but I couldn't. The vampires overpowered me. What do I do?! Lando's bleeding like crazy. I'm so scared, Rhett!" Link said. His voice was panicked he seemed to be on the verge of tears.
"I'm coming over now, man. Just hang in there. Try to stop Lando's bleeding. I'll be there in a few minutes. Just hang in there, okay?" I said and hung up.
"What's going on?" Jessie asked.
"Vampires attacked the Neals. They took Christy, Lily, and Lincoln. Lando's badly injured, but he's with Link. Link's a mess. I have to go," I said and kissed her goodbye.
"Wait! I'm coming with you. Locke! Watch your brother. We'll be back later. Link needs help. I love you. Be careful. We'll back when we can be, but that may be a while. Goodbye!" Jessie called out as we ran to the car.
We hopped in and I immediately took off down the road. Link needed help and I was going to be there to help him. We arrived within a few minutes and we ran to the door. I pulled it open and ran into the house.
"Link! Where are you?" I shouted. There was no reply.
I panicked and ran into the family room. There was Link. He was sprawled out on the couch with a crying Lando in his arms. We ran up to them and knelt in front of them. They were both covered in blood. Link hadn't mentioned his injuries. He was so worried about his family, he didn't seem to try to take care of himself. I put my hand on Lando's back.
