Logan leaned over his bathroom sink and looked at his reflection. His head ached and his shoulders felt tense. Since breaking up with Hannah two days ago he'd been in a terrible mood and did absolutely nothing to hide the fact. He was driving Lily crazy but that didn't keep her from passing by his apartment to check up on him. She stood outside the bathroom as he got ready.

"Where are you going to anyway?" Lily asked him. "Because something tells me you're not getting ready to go to the bookshop with me."

"Don't worry about it, I'll be at the shop this afternoon," He muttered. He opens the faucet and splashes water on his face. When he looks up into the mirror he sees Lily now standing behind him, a serious look on her face.

"You look terrible."

"Thanks," Logan rolls his eyes and leaves the bathroom. He grabs his shoes and starts slipping them on.

"Logan I know I'm annoying you but you're my brother, I have to look out for you."

Lily goes and sits next to him on his bed. He turns to her and squeezes her hand.

"Don't look out for me," he tells her. "I'm fine."

"You have dark circles under your eyes," she says making a face. "You look like you haven't slept in a while."

"I just broke up with my girlfriend, how else am I supposed to be?" Logan snaps, getting up and going to the living room.

"I know that!" Lily exclaims and follows him. "But I wish you would talk to me about it. I go to you with all my problems!"

"Yes, I know."

"You're not going to talk to me?" Lily asks, disappointed. Logan grabs his wallet and keys and turns to her.

"What is it that you want me to tell you? I feel awful, Lily. I want to stay in my apartment and never leave while also wanting to go to that place and push that guy's wheelchair into a very big pool."

"Logan!"

"Didn't you want me to talk to you?" Logan says extending his hands out.

"Not like that, idiot, that's not you," Lily says crossing her arms.

"Lock the door behind you," Logan tells her and leaves the apartment. Lily stands there wondering if there was anything she could do to help her brother.

How do I even begin? Lily thinks bitterly as she grabs her purse, He doesn't let me in. He keeps all his thoughts to himself – though, if they're all as murderous as his wheelchair to the pool comment then maybe it's better he doesn't share.

Lily shook the thoughts away, "He's just heart broken. Yeah ... that's it."

Still, feeling unsure and a little scared, Lily quickly leaves the apartment. She goes down the stairs and sees Logan's jeep leaving the parking area. Lily hurries and goes to her car. As soon as she jumps in and starts the car she drives off, following Logan.

Lily tries her best to stay behind a few cars yet close enough to not lose him. He was oddly driving fast, like he had to be somewhere or as if he was channeling his frustration through his driving. Normally Lily complains when she's in a car with Logan, accusing him of driving like a grandpa; now, however, Logan was swerving and cutting off cars that were going at a moderate speed – something he always hated when other people did it.

"This break up is making you lose it, big bro," Lily bites her lip. She squints and sees Logan pull into the parking lot of a bar. She drives around to enter the parking lot through the opposite side so he doesn't see her car. She parks in a spot far away from him but close enough that she has a clear view of him.
