Chapter three: Who am I?

After running out of the club and seeing Clary driving away in a cab i followed her as fast as I could while ignoring Simon. I ran back to the house and it started to rain like hell.

I got a feeling that something's going to be really wrong and something is about to happen. I went in and went upstairs to where I found Clary talking to her mom.

She was completely under shock. "Mom I think I killed someone. And and those guys they had tattoos all over their body." "What did the tattoos look like Clary? Did they look like this?",Jocelyn asked and revealed her tattoos with something that looked like a metal stick but I was sure it wasn't just a metal stick.
"Mom what the hell is going on?" "I'm so sorry Clary I wanted to tell you sooner." This situation felt oddly familiar.

I heard the door open downstairs so I ran down the stairs to find Dot. "Thank god you're okay!", she said and pulled me in for a hug. "Yeah I'm fine." "Did the demons hurt you?" "So that's what they were. I figured they weren't vampires like in New Orleans."

"You know what you are? Since when?", she asked shocked. "I figured it out a couple of month before mom died. But i stopped practicing magic." "No. You have to promise me that you will start again. You have to protect yourself. Your mother would want you to be safe! You can do it! Whatever you are afraid of you will get through it I promise you! I will help you. I will find someone to teach you so you can control yourself."

"Wait, you're a witch to?" "Yes but we're different. I guess there are  different kind of witches. So i can't help you. I'm sorry Amelia. But i will find someone. You're strong. You have to help Clary. They are going to search for her. And they want the mortal cup from her. Don't let them find it. Help her, protect her and protect yourself and never lose faith!"

"Dot what the hell is going on? What are you talking about?" "They're here! We have to get upstairs to Jocelyn and Clary. Go!", she said and dragged me up the stairs.

"Jocelyn look out the window, Circle members, they're here they found you and Clary. Valentines alive." Jocelyn looked out the window while Dot pulled something out of a drawer. "Only if you need it." She said to Jocelyn.

"Clary listen to me. I made someone really powerful extremely mad. Everything I did, every mistake I made was to protect you. I love you! Dot, open it!" Dot nodded and her hands started to glow and she opened a portal. "Mom what are you doing, Mom! Mom!" Clary screamed. "I love you so much. Don't trust anyone accept for Luke, remember that.", Jocelyn said and pushed her through.

"What the hell is happening. What did you do Jocelyn?", I asked her. "Watch over Clary. She will need you.", she said while giving me a hug. Dot came over. "Remember your strength. I wish we had more time. Remember what you tried to forget. Remember who you are Amelia. Don't give up.", Dot said and pushed me trough.

I landed besides Clary and she looked at me with tears in her eyes. I didn't say anything i just hugged her. I really felt sorry for her. She didn't deserve that. We stood up and then I recognized were we were. We were at the police station where Luke worked.

A woman walked up the stairs and looked at us. "Clary are you alright?", she asked. "Captain Verges, uh yeah we are just on our way to Luke. He said he'd take us home. "He's in an interview right now. Are you sure you're alright?" "Yeah I'm fine. We're just going to wait in the Cafeteria.", she said. "Okay, well if anything's wrong you can talk to me, I hope you know that. Same is for you.", she said while looking at me. "Thank you, i appreciate it.", I told her and smiled at her.

We walked down the steps until Captain Verges was gone and then we went to Luke's office. Clary and i were hiding behind the stairs where he couldn't see us because apparently he wasn't the person he pretended to be. It seems like he was just using Clary and her mom to get this cup they all want.

"Clary come on we have to go it's not safe.", i whispered. "I can't believe that Luke would be so reckless. He doesn't care at all. He was just using us.", she said while crying. I pulled her up and we started to run. We didn't have a destination yet but I had an idea where Clary would run too.
