"Sam hurry up or were gonna be late."Luke shouthed from downstairs.
"Okay im almost done."I shouted back while howling my luggage down the stairs.we were going to visit his brother, cousin and their mate's in California.and I mean sure Michigan is great but I've always wanted to go to Cali.I am currently dressed in the most cliche outfit that any traveler would wear, an aquamarine palm leaf print dress with sandals and my hair was in its natural waves.
"O.M.Squeal, were like twinzies"I squealed when I reached the bottom of the stairs,Luke was wearing a blue palm tree print surfer shirt and basketball shorts.
"yeah I knew you'd wear something like that" he laughed.
"haha...whatever lets go"
I got in the car while he loaded our bags in the trunk."you know this would be a lot easier if you helped me" he said as he put in the last of my bags.I only responded by turning on the radio and guess what was on'flowers in your hair by the lumineers'and so I started singing.and soon enough we were driving.
"When we were younger we thought Everyone was on our side Then we grew a little And romanticized the time I saw Flowers in your hair Cause it takes a boy to live But it takes a man to pretend he was there..."suddenly stopped as I noticed he was looking at me with a beaming smile I smiled back and continued singing until the commercials started.
"hey Luke, you have a sister too right?"i asked.and I could see his grip on the steering wheel tighten and his jaw clench.
"yeah and to awnser your next question, she's not coming"
"Oh...how about we play twenty questions?"i asked
"yeah okay but I start"he looked at me and I nodded."what's you favorite flower?"
"id have to go with the lavender blue scilla."
"What?"he asked confused.
"its also known as spanish bluebells"
"oh okay your turn"
"what's your favorite song?"
"the song you were singing earlier,'flowers in your hair' I've loved that band ever since I was you my mom used to sing it to my sister every night and I loved hearing it." he finished with a sad smile."but no more sad stories,next question..."
And we continued asking questions roaming from favorite colors to favorite continents.and on the process of the game learned more about each other, also we asked a lot more than just twenty questions.
