The search party's were sent out just a few minutes after Timothy gave the orders. They searched night and day for 4 days while the king awaited an answer. He sat in his room and paced for hours just waiting and waiting to hear the inevitable. Doran had entered the Dark Realm but had done an exceptional job at hiding himself along with his forces. He was getting impatient it was just 4 days ago that he had received the report but it felt as though he'd been waiting weeks. Yesterday he had tried to send out an army to find and destroy Doran but Kiglea had told him that Doran could not know that we suspect him to be within the realm or else he could attack suddenly. Timothy decided to listen but told him that he would wait just 1 more day and then he will send out the armies. That day had come and gone with no report or news from the search party's. Timothy was pacing and staring out of his window from his bedroom that showed the giant fountain and the courtyard, when he heard a knock coming from his giant dark oak door.
"I'm coming" sighed Timothy
He descended the spiral staircase in his room to the main lobby area. He approached the dark brown door with medal tracing. As he pulled open the heavy door Kiglea pushed his way in through the only partially open door.
"Are you still going to do it?" he asked hurried
"I don't see much option here Kiglea, we cant just sit here and wait for him to attack us."
"Just wait a few more days, please they will find something, a track, a tent, a camp or..."
"That's enough" shouted Timothy. "I've sat here and waited for this search party to bring me a report for too long now. I'm taking action with or without your approval. I'm getting rid of Doran once and for all"
"Okay.... I'll gather the armies." Kiglea responded quiet and softly.
Kiglea left the room but left the door open. Timothy began to gather his armor and sword to prepare to go with his army to find Doran. After about an hour Timothy began to make his to the courtyard. As he walked through the lower corridor Samantha and Nico approached him.
"Please tell me your not going into battle?" said Samantha.
"I'm going, I have to." he answered.
"No you don't I'll lead the army, the realm can continue without me but without you, it would fall into anarchy." replied Nico
"No I'm going, I'm king and I'm ordering them into battle. The least I can do is go with them."
"Fine but were going with you." said Samantha sternly.
Timothy nodded his head and continued through the corridor with Samantha and Nico walking with him. The maze that made up the castle stairs and corridors was beginning to make a little more sense to Timothy but he still needed a little guidance in the way out. When the reached the courtyard Timothy was awestruck by the amount of armored horses and men surrounding the fountain. Kiglea saw Timothy and the others and started towards them.
"There ready when you are. I'll be staying here in case of emergency. If something happens ill tap my ring 3 times and it will transport you and the army here in an instant." said Kiglea.
"Ok, I'm sorry if I was harsh earlier, I was just stressed and a little worried."
"Its okay and understandable. Were all worried."
"Ok I'll take out the troops now."
"Ok and good luck."
Timothy made his way towards the giant fountain of water that was the center piece in the courtyard. The troops had surrounded it on all sides as if waiting for it to speak. Timothy climbed up the stone fountain and stood at the highest point he could get to without getting completely drenched.
"Today is a day that will go down in the history of both this realm and the kingdom of Galimore." Timothy shouted confidently from his place on the fountain.
"Today we will fight to protect our land, our wives and our children." A loud shout erupted from soldiers that surrounded the fountain. The people seemed ready and eager to fight. So Timothy kept talking.
"Today is the day that a dark and evil man will be put to death. He has plagued our realm for far to long. Its time for peace to be restored to this once great kingdom. You people, our brave, and honorable soldiers will be the ones that deliver this realm from this hell wave been cast into."
The crowed burst into a wave of chants and shouts. They were now ready to go into battle.
"LETS FIGHT!" yelled Timothy.
He climbed down from the fountain and walked towards Nico and Samantha who had begun to organize the troops into groups for battle.
"Are we ready to go?" asked Timothy
Samantha looked Timothy directly in the eye and said "Were ready."
Timothy ordered the troops into columns and rows based on experience. When they were properly aligned Kiglea brought him a horse to use in battle. He mounted his horse, as did Nico and Samantha. Timothy looked out at the massive army he had at his control and then to his loyal friends.
"Lets go." Timothy said nervously.
Timothy began to ride his horse to the east of the castle where Doran was spotted. The troops marched behind him as he rode.
After a few hours of riding through a seemingly endless field of ash and small frozen ponds, something happened. As he was riding Timothy began to hear what sounded like a thousand horses descending from the heavens. The army looked all around them trying to spot their attackers. But they were no where to be seen. Until suddenly like a tsunami rising from the ocean a giant wave of horse and men rose over a nearby hill. It was a river of soldiers pouring over the hill like water from a spilt bucket. At the front of the oncoming army Timothy spotted a large group of riders surrounding what seemed to be a lone rider.
"Doran is being protected by a wall of people. Use a troop or two to break through that so I can get to him." Timothy ordered to Nico.
"Samantha, take three troops and stay back to make sure we don't get flanked. If they strat then move in to counter them."
"Prepare for battle" Timothy cried.
The oncoming army was much closer now and was nearly in bow range.
"Archers prepare your bows." Nico ordered.
A group of at least two thousand pulled out bows and readied their arrows. Doran's army was within a few hundred yards now and coming closer every second.
"Fire!" shouted Nico as he readied his own bow.
A massive cloud of arrows shot from the bows of the army and descended onto the oncoming army. Horses and men alike fell to the ground as if they were stones cast into a lake. There must have been at least a few hundred casualties. While a large number, still, not near enough to destroy the army. As Doran's forces got closer Timothy ordered his army to attack. A giant wave of people began to run at full speed to the opposite army. As they got closer a loud roar erupted from both forces. The battle had begun, and with it, the beginning of the end.
