The Reckoning Of Times

Chapter One Life Itself

She had lived to see many days past and yet go unnoticed. She lifted her eyelids only to discover that the day was almost over and the sun was going down for the day. Another day of this and how will I ever pay the bills or help get what needs to done done on time?
She was always being looked upon as though no one else had to. Her mind was a racing time bomb. She lifted her head slightly off the pillow which coasted along her nice firm bed and with the lifting of her elbows hoisted herself upwards. Her red hair covering her eyes as she sat on the edge of her bed. The cot had held together nicely in the last three months since she had bought it. She had no time to elapse when it came to work.
She simply combed her fingers through her hair and looked at the mirror and noticed her hair as the auburn color as it always was. Why did things never work out? Her latest beau has left her for a blonde younger girl and left her feeling rather depressed. She dressed in her work uniform and readied herself for work.
Marsha Sinclair her name badge wore. No Waitressing was not her favorite job but it put food on her table and paid her bills.
She often felt like life was too vivid. And that things went too quickly for her own liking.
Having her beau leave her made her aware of her surroundings but not knowing of the troubles that lie ahead.
She felt eyes on her as she was leaving her apartment building. She turned a little to see who it was but it was a small child who had caught her eye.
The little boy looked at her and smiled weakly. What was wrong with this child? She pondered.
"Hello," she said smiling. " How are you and your mother, today Peter?"
The little boy smiled and replied, " Good. How are you, Miss Marsha?"
I feeling a little confident replied with "Feeling wonderful, today. I got to go to work now. But I'll be seeing you later, okay?"
We had no idea of the events that would take place.
