Meteors and Asteroids

Marsha had no idea where she was going or running in to and she noticed that the ground was still moving as if the earth itself was seizing up. Earth was sadly and suddenly turning towards an era in time in which people had to steal from the stores and many felt the end of days were approaching.
Who knew what like ahead or what was to become of its occupants. All people knew was that the scientists and government had a lot of red tape on a lot of things that should of been uncovered to begin with. Marsha was still on the run and had came home to discover that there was nothing left but ruins she looked at her apartment building and it was completely bombarded.
She ran and fell and seen a huge hole in the ground right underneath her feet and peered down in it and saw the redness and felt the heat coming off of it right there smack in the middle of town.
Marsha looked confused and started running looking for anyone that was nearby but there was no sign of anyone. They had to be hiding in their cellars of their homes. Where were they? She turned her head and saw a form of life running from a house and coming towards her. " Come on with me," said the girl. " We can help you!" She peered at the girl for only a second and ran towards her and the girl grasped her hand and the girl led her to the cellar inside of a house as more meteors hit the ground. It was so very frightening there was nothing more they could do and she felt as if all hope was lost. " I'm Claudia", the girl said briefly as they were running and finally reached the destination.
"What is happening?! I don't understand why do they keep coming down like that?" Claudia had introduced her to her parents and siblings.
She didn't know what to think and they had looked her over strangely she had seen the girl in town a few times but never actually spoken to her until tonight with this incident.
She also didn't know what to make of the surrounding incidents with meteors and Asteroids shooting down. It was awfully scary.
The more Marsha thought about it she wondered if they would even survive throughout the night. And yet along with this thought ran many others crossing together was Jesus coming back and she questioned herself about the forthcoming and an apocalypse and Armageddon.

Let me know what you all think this is my first time writing a story and suggestions and criticism help but nothing crude ok?
