Even at this time of night Zootopia was still busy. It was a pretty big city, in animal standards, so it made since that Zootopia was their own 'city that never slept.' Needless to say, if you went beyond all of the streets filled with cars, the sidewalks bustling with animals... You would find the slumps.

The slumps were a kind of sanctuary for the more... Poorer animals. Predators mostly made up the slumps, since not many were trusted to do their jobs- some with good reason. The slumps were filled with violence, police were constantly patrolling the streets, and groups of gangs at every street corner. Most people were advised to stay away from this area... Except (Y/n). She was a predator, which to some people, the slumps were where she belonged.

Which was yet another reason she was heading towards the slumps. She felt... Nervous about meeting some sketchy wolf that she had met. Nick seemed to be less impish than this wolf. True, there were wolves in the police force, and some had made a good honest living in Zootopia... But it just wasn't the same.

(Y/n) tightened the (f/c) shawl around her shoulders tightly. Her flats slapped against the dirty, cracked, weed growing, sidewalk. She kept her head down, a nervous jump in her step. (Y/n) didn't feel safe in the slumps at all, made if she had known that a certain fox was trailing after her... She would.

'Man... I feel stupid.' (Y/n) thought to herself a small scoff escaping her lips.

'Maybe I should just turn back...' She sighed, her pointed ears flattening agaisnt her head. 'It isn't worth being in the slumps just for some random... Guy.' (Y/n) reasoned to herself, her fingers curling into the shawl tightly.

(Y/n) stopped walking, coming to a slow stop in front of an alley. "There's no shame in giving up..." She whispered nervously to herself, looking up as she went to turn around.

"Hey (Y/n)." Said a familiar voice, as it emerged from the pitch black alley. (Y/n) flinched, her eyes squinting to look inside the alley.

"Um... Hey Kai." She said, her eyes slightly large as she cleared her throat. "Can you come out of the alley?" (Y/n) asked, biting her bottom lip nervously.

A small scoff came from the alley, and (Y/n) somehow knew he was rolling his eyes. "I... Can't."

(Y/n) tilted her head, feeling her stomach churn nervously. "Oh... Okay. I guess I'll just come in... The creepy dark alley... With you..." She said slowly, shuffling towards the alley.

She entered the alley, suddenly being able to see Kai. He looked pretty normal, he wore his usual black shirt and black jeans. His white and grey fur was ruffled by the wind... But what really caught her attention was the collar he was wearing. His blue eyes were dull, nervously flicking back at fourth.

"Kai..." (Y/n) started to say, taking off her shawl as she draped it on her arm. "Are... You okay?" She asked, walking up to him as she went up to place a hand on his shoulder.

Kai flinched, stepping backwards as he rubbed his own shoulder. "Um... Yes. I'm fine..." He said gently, looking away.

(Y/n) knew he was lying, she knew that people who looked like that.... Were not alright. Everything pointed that something was wrong with him.

"I'm sorry about this... I really am (Y/n)... I know that you've been so much... Your mom... And now you're dad..." Kai said slowly, the black collar around his neck having a small chip... That started to glow an alarming yellow from it's calming green.

(Y/n)'s (e/c) eyes narrowed as she backed up, hugging herself, her ears still flattened against her head. "Kai..." She said nervously.

"I don't want to do this... They're making me..." Kai said slowly, his words picking out carefully as he reached into his back pocket and took out a hand gun.

(Y/n)'a heart started to beat faster as she pressed her shawl agaisnt her face. Her tail swished back and fourth behind her, her eyes wide with fear. "W-Who is?" She asked.

"I can't tell you. It won't matter anyway... You'll be dead." Kai replied, tilting his head, holding his gun up, the collar flashing red over and over again.

"I don't think so." Snapped an angry voice, as a familiar voice stepped out of the voice, green eyes flashing in anger.
