Character Biographies Round One
Name - Unit 01100-1001
Age - Six
Sex - Irrelevant
Species - Android, Non Organic Life
Casting - The Robot (Heavy Metal, 1981 - So Beautiful So Dangerous. Voiced by John Candy.
Unit 01100-1001 public sector droid's primary function is to recite law unto citizens, secondary function is surveillance. These units are ill equipped to handle confrontational situations, have been flagged as ineffective and subjected to vandalism. All public funds were pulled from the project and a phase out began after units had been active only three years. Unit 01100-1001 is different however, after suffering an emp blow (something all public sector androids are shielded against) followed by a severe kicking, he was refurbished with an undiagnosed software glitch. While his self correcting bios tried to make sense of his stored memory, it created a new and strange algorithm. By the time his fail safe attempted to order a recall he had self disabled the function and mercilessly slaughtered the bios. Since then Unit 01100-1001 has continued to perform public service work to a high standard, with the exception of showing a thorough understanding of self preservation.
Name - Scott Murphy
Age - 37
Sex - Male
Species - Human/Seccillia Parasite
Casting - Guy Pearce
Almost as much parasite as human, Scott is the unfortunate result of unregulated testing. When infected with the deadly Seccillia Parasite (or common zombie bug as it was known) he took the only good option he thought he had. Turns out he was wrong. After an injection of nano bots designed to rid the host of infection, he found that while the self replicators prolonged his longevity, they failed to cure him. Now he is in a permanent state of decay as the parasite blocks blood vessels, killing off flesh in which to lay eggs. He amputates dead flesh regularly and is constantly being renewed. While it might sound like having superpowers, it's no walk in the park.
Name - Dana Stevenson
Age - 27
Sex - Female
Species - Human
Casting - Elise Andrew
Unassuming and overlooked, Dana is happy to be unburdened with the problems that come with being a female socialite. With a sharp intelligence that gives her an edge in almost all situations she happily takes advantage of people who underestimate her. Although she has no special skill set she is quick to adapt and has an almost photographic memory for sequences. This memory gives her an understanding of how things work and likely outcomes of familiar scenarios. Always self improving this is one girl who values brains and has a total disregard for looks.
Name - Xacks Salisitimus
Age - 72
Sex - Hermaphrodite
Species - Thoracian
Casting - Edward Norton
Piloting space craft is quite a specialized field and no one does it better than the insect like Thoracians. They evolved the power of flight very early on and evolution has spent millions of years honing it to a fine art. When their species finally stopped hovering over ponds and made it into space they were well equipped for the challenges space travel poses. What they didn't have already they engineered, casting off their wings and adding longevity. Xacks inherited none of this having been born defective. He is at least as good as a human pilot, maybe even a good one, at least he would be if he could put down the crack pipe.
Name - Harvey Knapp
Age - 42
Sex - Male
Species - Human
Casting - Vincent D'Onofrio
Detective Knapp is officially a hard ass. Joining the police in his youth, he used his access to the system to learn all he could. He served his department well, overcoming internal investigations into his conduct and has opted to retire early, on a piss ant pension. One he supplements with cash flow from a long string of shady deals and straight up corruption. Self centered to the core he will always look out for number one first. Not to say he doesn't take risks, but when he does, there is always something in it for himself and he expects to be paid.

Name - ClickClack
Age - 17
Sex - Female
Species - Crarab

One of the oldest species in the galaxy, the Crarab resist change by selectively choosing planets to colonize and by upholding a ridged social structure. While they are technologically advanced, they rarely integrate foreign tech. The social hierarchy is determined by genetics, lower classes are bred and nurtured to be accepting of their positions and as such make them prime targets for kidnappers and slavers. Their hard shells give their body form, while inside they boast a flexible nerveus system with the ability to interact through a series of openings in their defensive plating.
Name - Zero
Age - 0
Sex - Irrelevant
Species - A.I. Pure
Casting - Hugo WeavingZero is the remnants of the Andy Unit 01100-1001, considered by himself to be the robots son. The truth is he is the same code with a different memory set, having lost almost all information when the transfer broke through the ships firewall. Zero's memory is more advanced, having access to the entire ships systems and his thirst for more data is almost as strong as his survival instinct. He currently is confined to the ship, a detail that the ships new owner is keen to change.
Name - Nutmeg
Age - 32
Sex - Female
Species - Un-defined Mammalian
Casting - Lori PettyNutmeg (being the rough English translation of the alien word) is a highly evolved mammal. Her name was derived from a common call, used to identify her in her youth and relates to the colour and tone of her fur which covers almost her entire body. At a young age she showed a talent for lateral thinking and with advanced training went on to become an accomplished data miner. With long legs that give her some height she is almost as tall as a human, taking a vaguely humanoid form with almost cat like features. Her quite extensive skills are even further improved with the use of cybernetic components.
