"Garroth!" I heard my brother Zane yelled to me from the kitchen. I sighed and hopped off of my king size bed and walked into the hall. We live in a pretty big house. My father owns a big company that produces just about everything. You would think that I would love this. But father likes to force his work onto Zane and I. Its SO boring. I finally get to the big set of wooden doors that opened up into the kitchen. I pulled one of the doors open and walked in, shutting the door behind me. Zane was standing by the phone grinning form ear to ear.
"Who is it?" I asked. Not to many people could make Zane happy so him smiling like that was something that needed to be questioned. Zane held the phone out to me and I took it without question.
"Gar Gar!" My moms voice rang threw the phone.
"Mom! How are you, Vylad, and Lin?" I ask. I hear some shuffling and then I hear Vylad and LIn.
"Hey Garroth!" They yell in union. I smile at hearing my half siblings voices.
"Hey guys! How is everything over there?" Ok, before I carry one, I should probably explain something. When Zane and I were young, or parents got a divorce and they earned shared custody. Our mom found a boyfriend and got pregnant with triplets. Vylad and Lin who are now 16, and a third child that was named Steven. He was born with some kind of health problem, and when my moms boyfriend heard, he ran off. Mom never knew where he went. A couple months later, Steven died. My mom had a really ruff to years. Getting a divorce with my dad, losing her new boyfriend, her child dies, i really dont get how she managed. But how ever, she did.
"Were good. Were just excited to see you and Zane tomorrow." Vylad answered and Lin screamed in agreement. I chuckled at their weirdness, and put the phone on speaker, so Zane could join in the conversation.
"Wheres mom?" Zane asked.
"Right here Zu Zu." Mom laughed. Zane smiled and we all talked about things we would do when we got there. Zane wanted to show a game to Vylad, and Lin and I were going to go play softball with some friends. That is, until dad walked into the kitchen.
"Boys, who are you on the phone with?" Dad asked.
"Mom, Vylad, and Lin." I answered cheerfully. Dad frowned and his brows furrowed.
"Zianna, were going to have to reschedule your visit with the boys." Dad reported without emotion in his voice. Which, i guess was normal for him.
"What? But we had something planned!" Mom complained.
"I need the boys for some work. They can have two weeks next month." Dad decided, as if we were just objects that he could claim.
"Alright boys. Im sorry, but were going to have to wait. See you next month." We all said our sad goodbyes and hung up. Dad had already left so Zane and I made our way back to our bedrooms. Zane slammed his door shut, receiving yells from our dad. I walked to my room, which was just across for Zane's and shut the door softly. I plopped on my bed and looked up at the ceiling.
Of course dad wants us for work.
