"Zane, your the smart one so go deal with the computer stuff. Garroth, your the people person so you deal with the phone." Dad said, sitting at his desk drinking coffee and doing paperwork. Yep. Dad treats us like we are just workers, or worse. Objects.
"Yes dad." Zane says, sitting down at the computer.
"We are in the business zone, so thats Sir to you." Dad corrects.
"Sorry Sir." Zane says, trying to not have too much hate in his voice. I head over to the phone as soon as it rings.
"Ro'Meave Real Estates. How can i help you?" I ask the caller.
"Yes Hi. I have a lady looking into getting an apartment in Hawaii. The code is 456793746." The manager says. I write the code down for Zane and pass it over. (THIS IS COMPLETELY MADE UP. I DONT KNOW HOW THESE THINGS WORK.) Zane types the code into the computer and passes me a list of available apartments.
"Yes, it says that the following apartments are available. 18, 27, 3, 32, 44, and 69." I hear some papers shuffling around.
"Thank you Sir. Have a nice day." The manager says. I say the same back and hang up. Immediately another call is on the line. I look over to see my father signing more documents. Ugg. I answer the phone.
"Ro'Meave Real Estates. How can I help you?" I stated.
"Hello. Is your refrigerator running?" A kid asked on the other end. I love dealing with prank calls.
"Oh! Are you the repair man? Thank goodness! We have a meeting later and we want the refrigerator running for refreshments. When will you get here?" I ask without giving him a chance to answer. He hangs up quickly. I laugh and continue doing work all day.
~Magical Time Skip~
I flop on my bed and grab my phone. There is only one more week until school starts. Another reason why i wont get two weeks with mom next month. Then dad is going to say, 'some other time.' I sigh and decided to watch YouTube. I watched some Minecraft, Undertale, and Happy Wheels, then fell asleep immediately.
