Today, I didn't see either of the people except Serena and Daisy. I didn't even see Aaron, whose locker is right beside mine. I had a free block for my fourth period, right after which was break. I went up to the library, to get a bit of my homework done. Like seriously? Who gives homework on the first day?

I took the farthest seat, and put my bag down, and went to the last shelf to get a biology book, to get help for my homework, when I saw Rose also looking for a book, and I went towards her.

From the times that we talked, Rose hadn't been the kindest to me, but I think I should start making amends.

"Hey Rose." I said.

"Hey Eliza."  She said dryly. Thank god we were at the last shelf.

"So, you and Callum, huh?" I asked a bit awkwardly.

She rolled her eyes, and stood up. "Eliza, you can't just waltz in here after like five years, and expect us to be besties like before." She said a bit rudely.

"I know, that's why I am trying to make it the way it was." I said.

"It can't be the way it was. You don't know who we are now, and we don't know who you are now. You left, and we got used to it without you. And now, you're here again, and you think that we are going to go back the way we were. Not everything will work the way you want it to." She said angrily.

"You can't be angry at me that I left. I left because I wanted to be a singer. You'd do the same if you were me."

"I would. But I wouldn't stop replying to the emails sent by my best friends. I wouldn't lose contact with them, so they'd think that I had changed. That I had become a snob. That's what we thought of you."

"I know, that I stopped replying to you people. But the life of a popstar isn't easy. I had different stuff to do everyday. I was always so damn occupied. Didn't Serena tell you people how busy I was? She was there with me, and she knows about it."

"Whatever." Rose huffed and left, leaving me behind to wonder, did she just end our argument with a 'whatever'? I am not going to make any amends with her...she clearly doesn't want to talk to me.

"Whatever." I muttered to myself, and started my search for that stupid biology book.

During lunch, I stayed in the library, doing my work and ignoring Serena's constant messages asking me where I was. It's a good thing she didn't come search for me.

After lunch was over, I went to my biology class. A few students were already there, and the rest were arriving. I got seated in the second row. Soon the whole class was full except for the seat beside me. I shrugged and took out my book and a journal, when I heard a door open.

"Late again, Miss Smith." Our teacher said, which made me look up. Uh oh... I forgot she was in the same class as me...

"Sorry." She said not sincerely.

"Take a seat quickly." She said to her. The only seat that was left was the one beside me.

Making a face, she took a seat beside me. The whole lesson while i was busy taking notes, she was continuously texting, and yawning and stretching. And strangely, the teacher didn't even notice.

After explaining the topic, the teacher said, "So students, I thought that I would give you all a project to do. It's not very difficult, I just want you all to work in pairs, and together, you are supposed to sketch twenty insects and write an information about them."

The whole class started deciding who they wanted to pair up with. "Excuse me, but I am going to decide who's going to work with who." And the groaning starts...

"OK, so Maria you are with Steve. Andrew you will be with Macey, Adelaide you will be with Rose..." This made me sit upright, what?

As I looked at Rose, I saw her searching for someone. Don't tell me she forgot that I am Adelaide...

"Who's Adelaide?" She muttered to herself. She forgot..

"Rose...I am Adelaide, remember." I tapped her shoulder.

"I can't believe this!" She muttered angrily, and then raised her hand.

"Before you ask Miss Smith, you cannot exchange partners." She groaned, at the same time the bell rang.

"So where should we meet up to finish this?" I asked her, while packing my stuff.

"Today, at your house. At five. As soon as we get it over with, the better." She said and left the room. Does she even know my address?

So, I shouted behind her, "Hey Rose! Do you even know my address?"

She stopped in her tracks, and turned around. "Obviously I don't." She quickly took out a paper and a pen, and said, "Here, quickly write it." As soon as I wrote it, she turned around and left, leaving me alone in the hallway, until I realised, that I was late for my next class.

OK, so this chapter wasn't very good, but I'll try to make the next chapter really interesting.
