He looked at her eyes, it was dark and gloomy yet somehow he felt warmth and strength flowing trough his body when he does. Her hands were still pressed softly on his cheeks, cupping his face. He wanted to melt into her touch, so warm and soft, so delicate, like she was holding something precious.

He liked it, the idea of being precious to someone.

"Please, don't let go of me."

She looked at him and she saw the sorrow in his eyes, the glimmer of something so sad and painful, she couldn't bear the sight of it ever again.

Her arms found its way around his waist, holding it tight and firm, not at all planning to let go. Her cheeks were pressed against the crook of his neck, her breath sent tickles down his spine.

"I would never even dare to try."

Her words hit him in ways that it shouldn't, her words hit him like the ocean waves hit the corals, so hard and penetrative yet he can't help but to let the edges of his lips lift up and form a smile. She didn't want him to die, and so he didn't.
