She saw his smile, she never saw him smile like that before, that kind of smile that was so genuine you can feel his happiness trough it and she smiled because of that, because she knew that she has made him happy. She was proud of herself for doing so.

She was startled when she felt his grip on her waist, pulling her closer to him. She can now feel the warmth of his body, and also the sound of his mortal heart. She wished this would last forever, just them standing like this, both being happy and satisfied with each others presence.

But she knew that one day, one of them will leave, one of them will forget how this moment felt, how in love they were with each other. She knows that, but it didn't matter to her. This moment felt perfect and it shall be like that forever kept in her memories.

The night goes by, the moonlight that lit their faces soon turns into streaks of oranges that lights up the whole space, the darkness that once filled the room gone and he can see her now just like how she could see him. They both knew that they never want to let this go.

He said he wouldn't die, and so she believed him.
