The boy smiled softly at Marinette, his arm still extended, the roses producing a fragrant smell. Marinette stood stoned. How long was this boy waiting for her at her door? Why was he here? She didn't remember getting any texts from him lately, other than the occasional "Good morning" (they exchanged phone numbers when they met at the coffee shop).

Marinette awkwardly accepted the roses, squeezing the stems tight in her hands. "Erm... Thank you, Kevin," she said, tucking a loose piece of raven hair behind her ear. Kevin smiled, his brilliant white teeth flashing, and took her hand. A blush crept up Marinette's face, and she softly tugged her hand away from Kevin's grasp.

"Soo..." Marinette trailed off, placing the roses on a table beside the door. Kevin's smile dipped before it rose again. "Marinette, would you like to go on a date with me?" Kevin asked, his eyes glinting with a devilish look. Marinette pursed her pink lips before answering with a slow "Maaaaaayyyybbeeeeeeeee....? I don't know." Kevin took her hand again and dragged her outside her apartment, still smiling.

"Come on, Marinette. Come on a relaxing date with me." Marinette sighed, resisting the urge to snatch her hand back from Kevin. She wanted to take a stroll by herself today, maybe get some personal things done. Marinette bit back another heavy sigh, and even though she was extremely flattered, she really wanted to be by herself.

"Fine."

Marinette had to admit, Kevin was quite the charmer. First, they went to the park and strolled around together, getting some ice cream as well. Kevin entertained Marinette with jokes, funny stories, things that could be possible in the future. She felt herself smile at his little quirks, like rambling on and on and his ears wiggling when he raised his eyebrows.

After the stroll in the park, the two fed the local ducks, and then Kevin and Marinette decided to watch a local basketball game, hosted by some court regulars. The two of them watched the players intently, both noticing the techniques and grading/calculating the players carefully. Eventually, the game ended, and Marinette became tired. Kevin saw this, and he hooked his arm around Marinette's shoulder.

"You wanna get some coffee?" Kevin asked, realizing he would have to end the date soon. In all honesty, he wanted the date to end. He needed to go home and think for a bit. He was just so confused at himself. I think I love this girl, Kevin thought. But how do I further the relationship? Ugh, I can't think about this stuff when she's near me.

Marinette glanced at Kevin, her eyes slightly dulled, and nodded. Coffee sounded great to her. "Sure, I mean... I really need the coffee anyways," she said, a tired smile on her face. Kevin's face lit up, and he grabbed Marinette's hand and tugged her off to the coffee shop where the two first met.

Unknowingly, Kevin had taken Marinette to the coffee shop Adrien was relaxing in.

And Adrien was doing personal things.

Personal things like figuring out a way to ask Marinette out on a date.

Kevin and Marinette walked in, and Kevin greeted his coworker, who was on shift. Marinette nor Kevin remembered that they were still holding hands when they walked in, and they certainly had forgotten about it as they ordered.

Adrien glanced at the newcomers and immediately spit his coffee back into his mug. Holy shit, he thought to himself. Are they dating? Oh god, what if they're dating? Then what am I supposed to do? Adrien stared at the two, silent anger flooding him. He knew it. That barista was bound to make a move on her. He could tell the first time that barista dude had taken her order, the way he looked at Marinette.
