As his eyes soon closed the horrors began, it was peaceful at first. Then, then the nightmares had started to pay, glue his mind. Sounds of clashing metal and horrified screams as visions of a male tearing out the tendons of each leg out of an enemy warrior, it was then Akiel heard the words "he is weak, he must be killed". The words came from a voice unfamiliar to Akiel, the tone was low and the clarity of it was rather raspy for Akiel's taste, that wasn't what he could think of though as the enemy warrior's skull was soon pierced with a bright metal dagger, it was almost nauseating how easily it dug it's way into a human skull with such finesse. "Now that you have seen one of my many victims, go forth and bring me the fur of the panther!".
With that, everything went to black before Akiel's eyes had shot open, he didn't sit up gasping for air no, it was not a jump scare nightmare. This nightmare was different, it had reached out to Akiel in ways nightmares had not previously done, it was almost as if the voice was speaking directly to him "it couldn't have been...no it's just a crazy dream" Akiel chuckled, getting out of bed. As he pulled the covers off, he noticed the bracelet he had taken last night had wrapped itself around his left wrist. "What the hell..." He said almost angrily, he was not angry though, he was in fact, quite scared that this foreign bracelet had seemingly planted itself on his body.
"Maybe I put it on last night and just don't remember....yeah that's gotta be it. I guess I'll take it off now, since it doesn't really do much for appearance" he chuckled, grasping the bracelet and trying to take it off of his wrist, eyes widening at the fact that it wouldn't budge."What the hell, why won't it just" he grasped it again, pulling on it with all of his might "GET OFF OF ME" Akiel sighed in utter frustration at the bracelet, while part of him was angry he was more so scared if anything. The bracelet seemed to have such a firm grip on his wrist, almost as if it were part of him now. "Well if you don't come off by my hand then I know what will get you off, you little fucker" Akiel grinned wickedly as he was struck with an idea, the band saw he had in his garage could cut through pretty much anything, what's to say it won't cut through the bracelet? Sure it's a stupid idea but he's desperate, what else could he think of while in such a situation?
Making his way into the garage, he opened the door with haste. It had been awhile since he had been in there, the garage smelt of oils and various paints, quite unpleasant to Akiel at first. "I still don't get why the hell they gave me this garage with the place but I don't really care anymore" he chuckled, walking over to the band saw, placing the wrist with his bracelet on it. Once Akiel flipped the switch he knew there was no going back, the sound of the motor or whatever was inside it whirring to life and the blade spinning at speeds that were hard for the naked eye to follow. Sounds of metal clashing on metal could be heard as sparks flew everywhere "Fuck!" Akiel yelped as he covered his eyes, it wasn't too long after that the bandsaw stopped working. Akiel slowly lifted his head up from his sleeve, just to make sure the saw wasn't still spinning or sparks weren't flying, instead what he saw perplexed to no extent. There in all its glory was a very broken saw blade, snapped in half actually and an untouched bracelet that didn't have as much as a scratch on it. 'The panther is stronger than any steel forged by man' echoed throughout Akiel's mind, very faintly though, almost as if it were someone whispering into his subconscious.
"Great...now I'm going crazy. This just all be one drug trip...yeah that's gotta be it, I'm obviously high off my rocker if I believe this bracelet is actually here and I have a tiny little voice inside my head" Akiel burst into hysterical laughter "to think, I thought this bracelet actually broke that bandsaw...this'll be a hell of a drug trip story to tell to people in the future"
'If you have a future, find the fur of the panther. Confront the merchant'
"Are you talking to me?" No response "what merchant? I haven't been to a store that has had a merchant. Unless you're referring to.....MY DEALER". Pulling his phone out of his pocket, Akiel quickly pressed the speed dial number of his dealer "hey....we need to meet up soon, like right now soon" *through the phone*
"Why? Have a bad trip?" The dealer laughed lightly. Akiel admired the bracelet while talking
"Something like that, just meet me at the usual location, be fast" Akiel pressed the end call button, a small beep was heard and Akiel knew what he was going to do next. He was going to find out what the hell was going on.
