Wings of Fredom

Chapter - 1

It was a beautiful sunny day and I was spending it with my best friend Emily in the fields when we heard a loud bang. That's when we realized the walls were a cage and humanity was cattle.

~pre time skip~

"Bye mom see you at dinner." I said to my parents as I went to meet up with my best friend.

As I was walking I noticed how nice they weather was. I don't remember ever having such a beautiful day maybe even-

"Hi Kayla!" Emily said snapping me back to reality.

"Oh. Hey Em!" I said running and hugging her.

"GUESS WHAT I HEARD!" Emily said jumping up and down. "WHAT!" I said answered waiting for her to speak. "THE SCOUTS ARE SAID TO BE COMING BACK TODAY! IF WE HEAD BACK NOW WE CAN GET A GOOD VIEW!!" Emily yelled excitedly. "Okay le-" I was cut off by bells ringing and the walls rising.

Emily and I ran all the way to where the scouts were coming from only to see our old friends Eren and Mikasa. We both went over as close as we could to our friends, but stopped moving when the scouts came by. At first we were really exited to see them, but when we saw how sad they looked we immediately looked at each other and worriedly. Horses carried wagons that hurt/ dead people were in and family's were looking everywhere for their sons or daughters.

We saw a mother talking to a commander and they both looked pretty sad. "Moses! Moses! Excuse me.. I don't see my son Moses anywhere... Do you know where he is?" The woman asked the commander. "This is Moses' mother? Go get it." The commander said to the man beside him. The man returned with something that had a cloth wrapped around it. The woman opened it and started crying. "It's all we could retrieve." The man said. "But... My son... He was helpful, yes? Even if he didn't achieve direct greatness... Surely my son's death helped humanity fight back, yes?" The woman yelled shocking the commander. "Of course...! No... On this latest scouting mission, we... No... Just like all the other missions... We achieved nothing at all! My incompetence has done nothing, but needlessly send soldiers to their deaths! We haven't found anything about them!" The man yelled starting to cry a little. 

The soldiers kept moving forwards while everyone stared in shock. There was a guy around where Mikasa and Eren were saying something that I couldn't hear, but it hit a nerve in Eren and he hit the guy in the head with a stick. Before Eren could do anything else Mikasa pulled him away. I wonder what that was all about? "Hey Em?" I said looking at her. "Yeah?" She replied. "What do you think that was all about? I mean with Eren and The guy." I asked as we started walking to a field. "Not sure." Was all she said. 

~Time skip to the field~ 

Emily and I were with Eren, Armin and Mikasa just talking about what we wanted to do when we get older. I personally wanted to join the scouts, but I was too scared to admit it so I just said I didn't know. We all talked for about an hour before everything changed. *Bang* We all fell over after a bright light appeared in the sky and shook the ground. "What was that!" I screamed jumping up to see what everyone was looking at. No. NO. NO! This can't be real! "G-guys w-what is t-that?" Emily stuttered baking away. "It can't be... Th-that wall... It's 50 meters high!" Armin yelled. "It's one of them... A titan!" Eren yelled as a titan stuck it's head over the wall. The titan was all red with some white on its face. 

*BANG* The wall was kicked open sending rubble flying everywhere, it even landed on some people. After the titan kicked the wall open it went down and disappeared. "They're inside!" Everyone was yelling. "Run!" I screamed grabbing Emily's hand dragging her with me. "EMILY GO CHECK ON YOUR FAMILY AND I'LL GO SEE MINE!" I yelled running to my house. 

"MOM! MOM WHERE ARE YOU!" I said pushing rubble away from my now smashed house. "Please be okay.." I said starting to tear up. "Ka-ayla?" I heard a quiet voice. "MOM!" I yelled running behind my house. I saw my mom trying to stand up, but her legs were both broken. "Don't walk i'll carry you we can get through this." I said grabbing her arm and wrapping it around my shoulder. "Kayla I want you to listen to me. Run and leave me behind i'll only drag you down and we'll both die." My mom said stepping back and falling. "What! NO!" I wont leave you!" I yelled trying to get her to stand up. "HELP!" My mom yelled at the passing scouts. One of them landed beside her. She had long brown hair tied up in a ponytail and wore glasses. "I want you to take my daughter and run." My mom said to the girl. "Can you walk and call me Hanji?" The girl asked. "No that's why I want her to go! Please let me die knowing she's safe!" My mom yelled. "Alright I will take her to safety." Hanji said picking me up and carrying me away. "NO! I CAN'T LEAVE HER!" I yelled trying to get out of her grip. I heard more banging and it got closer and closer as a 7 meter titan appeared behind my mom. No! NO! NOOO! The titan picked up my mom looked at her for a second then swallowed her whole. "Mom.." I said quietly starting to cry. "I'm sorry for your loss.." Hanji said as we arrived at the boats. "Okay line up here and get on the boat." Hanji said patting me on the back. I got on the boat and found Emily by a corner crying. I walked over to her and sat next to her and just stared in shock. That is when I knew the walls were a cage and humanity was cattle.
