Brooklyn's P.O.V.

I started to worry.... I was sitting at the table, it was already past one in the afternoon and Jane wasn't back yet.

She hasn't been home for two days... Something isn't right....

Since the night I came back from the park where I ran into Harry, she's been gone.

All she left was a note... She didn't say when she'd be back or anything like that, and now I'm wondering if I should call the cops.

I've tried calling her cell phone, but I never get an answer.

I should definitely call the cops! I should've called them yesterday, but I didn't.

One rule that we both made up was that we could stay out for two and a half days, as long as we called the other to let them know that we were safe and wouldn't be home.

She hasn't even bothered calling!

I'm freaking out and trying to calm myself down at the same time.

She's probably with Niall....

As soon as I think this, the front door opens and rush to see who it is.

To my relief it was Jane. I hug here, then get upset and back away.

"You didn't call! Where were you? I was freaking out here!" I say angry.

"Calm down, Brooklyn calm down!" She says. "I was with Niall."

"I knew it! You couldn't have called and told me that? I was worried something had happened to you!"

"I know, I'm sorry. I was going to call but ended up forgetting to." She says.

"Don't ever do that to me again Jane! We're friends! I know I sound like a parent but I want to know that your safe and that I don't have to worry." I say.

"Ok, next time I leave a note, I'll put 'at Niall's' that way if I don't come home, you'll know I'm safe."

"Deal!" I say.

"Am I forgiven?" She asks.

"Ohhh." I hug here again.

Finally I can relax. Jane goes to take a shower and I watch some TV, only for her to be leaving again.

"Where are you going?"

"To Niall's."

I sigh and she stops. "What?" She asks.

"You never spend time with me anymore!" I say.

She smiles. "I'm going to find you a boyfriend."

"I don't need a boyfriend I need my best friend!" I say.

"I know, I know! We'll go to your café this weekend and catch up." She says.

I sigh again. "Alright."

"I'll see you later."

"Yeah, yeah." I say turning the TV off.

I sit there and wonder how she could just come and leave just like that. I sigh again.

If my Mom were here right now, she'd say 'sighing like that isn't good for you'.

I smile. She always makes my day better!

I get on my laptop and open my emails. I have another book review to write and another book to review. I start working on my next review and then I decide to go to the library to find the next book I have to review.

After what seems like a while, I finally get up to go to the library. I start my journey there and take the books I need to return with me.

When I arrive, I put those books in the little box for books that need to be returned. Then, I head over to the section where the book is at and try to locate it.

I search up and down the aisle and then go to the next one over. When I do, I find the book! I grab it and get out of there. I still have a bunch at home to read just for enjoyment, but I needed this one so I could review it.

I checked it out and walked back to my house. It was empty when I arrived. It also felt lonely. I sighed as I went to the living room. The weekend could not come sooner.

It was a few days away and I really wanted it to be tomorrow. Jane would probably stay at Niall's tonight, which wouldn't bug me if I knew him, but I didn't, which made it hard.

I read until late into the night, so the next morning, I got up later than planned....
