So just a lil' note here, remember, these are just my opinions. I'm not forcing you to agree with me or anything, these are just silly opinions.

So, UsUk.

These cute little dorks.

I absolutely LOVE this ship. Usually with a ship, I'll really love a ship, really hate a ship, or just have no opinion at all on it. I find UsUk really cute because England took care of America, and while some call them brothers, they're not actually blood related, it was more like a close bond thing.

I really do think that they have feelings for each other. My guess is that in the beginning, America was just a kid with no concept of actual love, while England simply dismissed it as brotherly love. As they got older, England was slowly coming to terms with his feelings, but America was still trying to deny it. Around the time of The Revolutionary War, England was finally ready. But America had built a wall around himself emotionally.

After the War, England knew he really loved America, no matter how much he teased him or even hurt him. He uses his anger against the American as a sort of childish crush thing on America. (Though he'd never admit it) However, England's feelings are not the same towards France, as they never established an actual bond as strong as England and America. 

Why America doesn't confess his love for England is a bit more tragic. America has two main reasons. The first reason is... he's just flat-out afraid. He's scared of rejection. America knows it would absolutely destroy his ego if he was rejected, so he keeps the feelings he had bottled up. If there was no risk of him being rejected, America would definitely go for it. Although he's never able to show it, he really does love Artie, or Iggy as he sometimes calls the British Nation.

The next reason America refuses to confess also has to do with America's ego. Remember the wall I talked about earlier that America made? That wall never went away. That's why America is rarely ever serious. He uses a wall of a joker personality to avoid expressing sad feelings at all. With his personality and wall, his ego also grew. His shell, combined with his ego are the reasons why he can't confess.

So, is there hope for this ship? Absolutely. It's only a matter of who is strong enough to overcome their insecurities first. Together, once they manage to overcome their fears, I have no doubt they'd be an adorable ship.
