I bolted my eyes open to the sound of a heavy bang, my hair swaying frantically in the wind.

"Hush" he whispered in my ear. I relaxed in his arms as his voice went throughout my ear, sounding like a purr.

He then continued running at a sickening pace, the forest now surrounding us.

He let out a laugh "not one to talk hey?" He said with a smirk

"W-where are w-we" my voice suddenly sounding shakily.

"We're in the woods sweet heart"

I felt a shiver crawl up my spine as we approached the unsteady cliff ahead.

We soon got closer, and closer to the cliff.

The cliff was only a few meters away then. I closed my eyes.

I let out a sob as I felt my stomach drop. We were now 67 feet above the ground, and I couldn't help but let out a soft whimper when my eyes met the ground. I shivered in fear as we got closer to the ledge.

He grabbed me by the cheeks and turned me to face him.

I stared into his fiery red eyes, and found relaxation looking into them.

He then rushed my head into his shoulder as we gently landed on the ground.

He placed a soft kiss on my forehead before passing out.

I woke up to the sound of carnival music playing in the distance.

I turned my attention to the giant amusement park only inches away. I couldn't help my childish needs. I wanted to play.

My attention now turned towards a now giggling dad.

I softly slapped his chest in embarrassment.

The amusement park was bright and colorful. Pretty much what you would expect it to look like. I read about it from books I had stolen from my supposed mother.

I was excited, I had never been to a carnival before.
