"Maybe the park?" Lucy asked. Natsu was having trouble with his thought process.
"Anywhere." He replied longingly, attempting to flirt to see how she'd react.
"I think the park would be best. Fresh air will help with the headache, and under the cherry blossom, it's so beautiful!" Of course, she didn't notice. The blonde police woman was as clueless as a cow in a Dalmatian pack. Flirting wasn't her grade A project at the moment, so it often slipped her mind. "Well, come on! Get your journal ready for the park!"
Natsu' s gaze on her was shortened when realization hit him. He had a meeting with the producer this evening. He wanted to ask his muse a question, but as soon as his eyes hit her wondrous face, he was gone.
Her golden locks were tied half-up-half-down style, and a blue and white striped bow held it together. A gorgeous sun dress hugged her curves in all the right places. It tied around her neck and draped down, elastic circled her thin waist, ending just above the knee.
Going farther down, black strapped sandals adorned her feet, tying off the entire outfit. The baby blue floral patterns in the dress made her delightful eye pop. Natsu couldn't see every single detail and appreciate the tiny things, but he knew she was beautiful. Very beautiful, Natsu thought.
"Are you ready?" Her bright eyes showered down on him as he sat.
"Uh, yeah. Of course!" The salamander' s cockiness returned as did his confidence. Why am I thinking all these gooey things about Lucy? The answer never came, so instead he stuffed a journal in a small rucksack. They headed of together, discussing ideas already.

The purple blanket Lucy brought contrasted deeply with Natsu' s hair as he laid contemplating.
"So, in the end he was a greedy commoner who got turned into a dragon, and the princess falls in love with him anyway!" Lucy sighed sweetly. "I sure do like romance."
"What? No you don't!" He argued.
"And why can't I?" They started to yell.
"I don't know you're Lucy!" Natsu, that's not really an answer...
"That doesn't make any sense!"
They then stared at each other. Silence engulfed them before laughter broke out. They definitely couldn't fight very well.
Lucy looked up, still in fits of giggling. "J-Juvia-san?" She asked in shock. There down the street came Happy, Juvia, and Detective Gray closing in behind.
"Gray! Fight me!" Natsu yelled. His passion for violence showed and he got a bit ahead of himself.
"What'd you say, directDORK?" The young raven haired man yelled back to his childhood rival.
"You come up with that yourself? Put it back in the ice box, Freezer-Face!" The playwrite yelled.
"Nii-chan! Lushee!" A high pitched voice yelled out. All three looks up to see Juvia protecting Happy from the fight, and him moving to run to Natsu. You would almost think she was his mother with the similar hair colors.
"What are you doing here, Juvia-san?" Lucy questioned and Happy ran into her arms; expecting to be held no doubt.
"Oh, Juvia was in the theater for work and Happy-san needed someone to go with him to you. Juvia has your schedule to give to you so, Juvia volunteered for the job." Juvia smiled and talked in her normal third person habit. My eyes flickered to our bosses favorite detective a few time, she got the hint. "Oh! Gray-sama bravely volunteered to escort Juvia safely!"
Lucy just nodded (it was safer that way.) And let Happy out of her grasp so he could run around as much as he wanted. They talked a bit longer, she go her schedule then left a heart-eyed Juvia with the awkward detective.

"Are you sure that's not too pervy?" The blonde woman asked.
"Nah, people like this stuff!" Nasty tried to convince.
"Okay..." Yeah, she wasn't convinced.
THE NEXT MORNING
Natsu woke up to a commotion under his bedroom. Putting on a bathrobe, he trampled down the stairs to see who he could fight. Sadly for him, there was no one to fight, only comfort, which he wasn't too good at.
"I swear I didn't kill her!" A muscled man demanded, as Juvia tried to get him under control.
"Juvia understands that, sir, but in order to figure out who killed your sister the Police need to take precautions." Her stern and solid voice showed she meant business. Elfman begrudgingly sat back in the chair mumbling thinks about how "A real man doesn't murder."
"His sister?" Lucy had come up, in her full uniform with coffee tray in hand. Natsu looked wary around the coffee but answered her anyway.
"Lissana, the girl who was murdered, is that man's, Elfman' s, sister." She cringed in sympathy. "Younger sister."
Lucy didn't have siblings, but she understood that much. He was hurting on the inside. Probably blaming himself, maybe regretting some things he said. And she pitied the man named Elfman.
"I'll see you later, on duty now." The salamander' s inner 8 year old snickered at her choice of words as she ran off to work. His attention snapped back to reality when he smelled food. Meat in particular.
As he gobbled down the rest of his delicious meal Erza came rushing in, an opened letter in her hand.
"Natsu," her eyes looked worried. "It's Igneel."
Oh no.
