(From First Person, Y/N)
------------------------------------

He was the one of most popular guys in school.

I hated him.

Lee Seokmin.

I rushed down the empty hallways of school. I was late, again. I ran through the corridor, and dashed towards my homeroom. I reached the door to my class. Taking a deep breath, I slid the door open and slowly walked inside; trying to be as quiet as possible. My homeroom teacher was talking, but suddenly stopped as I entered the room. I paused my steps and looked up at her. She sighed upon seeing my late appearance.
"Take a seat Y/N. See me after class."
I mentally groaned and sat down at my assigned desk, next to pretty boy Lee Seokmin. I don't think I've ever seen someone as arrogant as him. He's a complete douche who's only out for attention.
I settled at my desk and looked towards the teacher.
"Today I am assigning an in-class project that is to be completed within the next week. Your literature teacher asked me to hand it to you now. It's a partner assignment- and no! You may not choose your partners. I will. To make it easy for everyone, your partner is the person sitting next to you." And with that, the homeroom teacher left the room. I groaned and rested my head on the desk.
"What? Are you upset that I'm your partner?" Seokmin chuckled, poking my arm, a smirk tugging his lips.
"Couldn't be happier." I said sarcastically, an annoyed expression plastering my face.

See, Lee Seokmin was one of the most popular guys in my school. He was (supposedly) smart, handsome, talented and charismatic. But that's what everyone else said. I didn't think he was all that special. All the girls wanted to be with him, and all the guys wanted to be him. Seokmin was in a group of thirteen other boys called Seventeen. Their leader was Seungcheol, but everyone called him S.Coups; besides me of course. The Seventeen boys were all hot and sexy and just perfect inside and out. But I thought differently. To me, they were a bunch of playboys who only wanted attention. I didn't trust them and I had no intention of trying to.

I walked into the cafeteria at lunch. Looking around the hall, I saw my friends Hani and Sorn sitting at a table on the opposite side of the room. I sat down with them quietly, listening to the endings of their conversation about Lee Chan; another Seventeen member.
"-He's totally perfect and he's so talented. Sucks that he already has a girlfriend." Hani concluded, Sorn humming in agreement as she ate some rice.
"Hey Y/N." Hani smiled at me as she picked at her kimchi.
"Where's your food?" Sorn asked, looking at me with a concerned expression.
I shrugged, "I don't feel like eating."
Just then, a hand hit the table hard, causing the three of us to jolt towards the noise. It was Lee Seokmin.
"My house after school. Meet at the gate." He said to me sternly before walking away. I turned to my friends who were staring on in wonder.
"Hot."
"Dreamy."
"Annoying."
My friends shot their heads at me and gave me a slight glare. I rolled my eyes at their expression, baffled by how they could like such a conceited creature.

I waited patiently at the front gate of the school, hoping Seokmin would hurry the hell up. It was getting cold and I didn't bring my jacket. I just wanted to get to his house, finish the assignment in record breaking time and go home so I wouldn't have to spend another minute with him. I began to shiver, feeling how my arms tingled from the icy air. I saw Seokmin slowly walking towards me. His head was down and his hands were planted in his pockets. His expression was peaceful and he had a look of content in his eyes. His earphones were in so I wasn't expecting him to hear me if I called out for him. Seokmin's head raised slightly and he saw me waiting. A small smile crept on his lips as he approached me, taking his earphones out.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked with a gentle tone in his voice. I was taken aback by the way he said that. He was usually playful or mischievous with whatever he said. I didn't expect him to have such a kind voice; if you know what I mean.
I nodded, "Yeah, let's go."

On the way to Seokmin's house, we talked and laughed about stupid things. He told me his doubts and insecurities and even the hot gossip about the other Seventeen members.
"Wait, wait. So you've never had a girlfriend before?" I asked, shocked by the news I had just received.
"Nope, never." Seokmin grinned, smiling at me as I walked beside him. "But... There is this one girl in class who I think is cute. I would love to take her out someday."
"Really? Who?" I questioned, nudging him jokingly.
He flashed me a sweet grin, "I'll tell you later."

We arrived at Seokmin's house. It was an appartment, pretty small, but really cute and cozy.
"Nice place." I complimented as I walked through the corridor and into his room.
He followed close behind, "Thanks."
Once I reached his bedroom, I put my bag down and planted myself on the floor. Seokmin sat in front of me with the assignment instruction sheet in his hand.
"It says we have to write a creative piece of writing and identify what poetic techniques we have used to convey the story." He read aloud.
"I'm not good at writing stories." I signed.
Seokmin smiled, "I am." I smiled back at him.

For the rest of the afternoon, we worked on the story. Together, we combined our ideas and wrote down sentences bit by bit. It actually turned out to be a really fun project. I also saw a side of Seokmin I never thought existed. Or a side I didn't want to believe existed. Seokmin actually seems to be really funny, kindhearted, caring and gentle. Throughout the whole evening I was laughing and smiling by the way he said and did things. Then I realised, maybe I didn't like him because I like him? Maybe the reason I always go on about what a douche he is, is because I've secretly been crushing on him this whole time? But it couldn't be possible. I shook the thought out of my head.

"So, um, about this girl in class who you think is cute... Who is it?" I asked curiously.
"Well, she's super pretty, she makes me laugh a lot, even though she treats me like I'm a terrible person. She has a really beautiful smile, so I always try hard to make her laugh. Her eyes are so beautiful, I try really hard not to stare at them for too long. She's pretty kind and sweet to everyone, besides me. I'm pretty certain that she hates my guts." Seokmin described. I smiled a bit after hearing what he had to say. So he isn't a complete d-head after all.
"Well, who is it then?" I asked, poking his cheek playfully.
"Don't worry." He replied softly.
"Aw come on. You can't just go on about her like that and not tell me who it is!" I protested.
"It's you." Seokmin said under his breath.
I froze, "Can you repeat that?" I was shocked; it couldn't be me.
"It's you!" He yelled slightly, causing me to jump a little. I saw small tears prick Seokmin's eyes, giving me the confirmation that he was being sincere.
I shuttered slightly, "D-Do you like me?" I asked. Seokmin nodded and hung his head low.
"I-I think I, um... I like you too." I continued. Seokmin lifted his head and looked at me with wide eyes.
"Really?!" He jumped up. I nodded and smiled at him before being pounced on with a hug. The two of us were rolling on the floor, locked in a tight embrace. He pulled away and look at me in the eyes.
"You're so beautiful." He commented before leaning down and kissing me softly.

He was the most popular guy in school.

I loved him.

Lee Seokmin.
