Interesting things were:
A new era indeed, as Stephanie McMahon, with a gift bag, kicks off the show. The gift bag was for Shane, and it was the picture that Vince destroyed in the build to Mania.After some back and forth over who would share their idea for the show, Kevin Owens interrupted, and he had an idea for them which was that he get a rematch for the IC Title.Shane made Cesaro vs. Owens, with the winner getting a title shot.
Goldust w/Fandango vs. Tyler Breeze w/R-Truth: This feels like a high school couple that broke up and is dating new people to make the other jealous.
The Ambrose Asylum With Stephanie McMahon: The whole gimmick here was that Stephanie was playing the nice "new Stephanie," which Ambrose did not buy at all. Stephanie got pissed, but never got over the top with it and simply cancelled Ambrose's show. Ambrose was actually fine with this, and took Mitch and then went to leave. Stephanie brought back Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel, and that led to Ambrose and Jericho brawling.
US Title #1 Contender's Battle Royal: I'm so happy for Rusev. He won. What a great opportunity for him to rise again ,after breakup their boring league. I hope he can win the title and to deliver us from the boring reign of Kalisto!
AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. Roman Reigns and The Usos: The end was pretty good. It smells more and more of heel turn of Roman Reigns on Extreme Rules and tonight was proof. After Extreme Rules I expect to return Seth Rollins as a babyface and to start a feud with Heel Roman Reigns. This should happen!!
