Chapter 6

Lets have a little change, shall we?

Riker's POV

"Rocky, Rock, you asleep yet?"

No answer

Looks like I'm the only one awake

I couldn't sleep, for once...

I decided to wander around our neighbourhood for a while and end up at Get Shaved. I bought myself my usual and quickly finished it up, watching this girl with brown hair shiver and whimper sitting two tables away from me

Just as I was about to leave, I decided to check on her. Poor girl

I walk up to the girl and try to find the right words to talk to her, being careful so that I don't creep her out

"Hey, I've been watching you this whole time. I noticed you shivering and came over and realized you were crying. Are you okay?" I asked. Oh great, that sounded way better in my head. She probably thinks I'm some kind of rapist

"Yeah. Just, stuff..." she replied, trying to stop her tars rolling down her cheeks. Poor girl...

"I've never seen you before. My name's Riker, what's yours?" I try to get her mind of whatever she was thinking about

"That's one unique name... My name's Mikayla. I just moved in here"

"You look Asian. You came from there?" I ask in curiosity, sitting next to her

"Yeah. Actually I was born in Clovis, but my parents moved back to Asia and stuff so yeah" she seems nice. Maybe I should ask for her number...

"I gotta go. But can I have your number?"

"Sure, I don't see why not" she handed me her phone and I handed her mine

I put my name is her phone as 'Rikeylicious' and also put in my number of course

We switched back our phones and I saw her's as 'Mikayed BigTime'. She's a Rusher eh? Wonder if she's R5Family too...

She looked up and out gazes met. I heard her breathing hitch. I got lost in her eyes and nearly lost it

I took this opportunity to play it smooth and really be there for her even though we just met

"If you want a friend, doesn't matter when, just call or text me. I'll be here by your side, no more tears, no more crying. See you soon, I hope?" I said looking deep into her eyes, still a little lost

She nodded and I gave her a hug. Gosh, she was so huggable. I wish she'll be mind...

"Bye Riker. Thanks" I heard her mutter as I started walking back home

I hope she'll be okay... Wonder what was bothering her

I got home and got to the foot of the stairs when the light flickered on

"Riker, where did you go?" Rydel asked as the light flickered on causing me to jump

"I went to Get Shaved and met this girl" I said and gave a longing sigh

"Somebody's in LOVE!" Rydel whisper-shouted merrily

"Am not! I just met her today..." I trailed off unsure if it was true or not

"So? I see it in your eyes Riker. Good night" Rydel said walking off to her room, leaving me deep in thought

I walked to mine and Rocky's room to find him still asleep

I laid down and slowly drifted off to sleep thinking of a particular female brunette
