It was not for three hours until someone finally found Harry outside Snape's door passed out.

"Potter?" The cool voice of Pansey Parkenson spoke however no reply was given which provoked her to kneel down and place a hand to Harry's face. A small gasp was emitted as Harry's skin was frozen and a small layer of frost began coating him. In a single movement Pansey was banging on Snape's door screaming for help.

"Mrs Parkenson you better have a good reason for banging on my door like an uncivil-"

"It's Potter, look" the girl inturupted the irate man who looked down at the ground and began barking orders. "Explain on the way to the infirmary"

Snape did not wish to hurt the small boy and as such picked him up with surprising ease and began a fast pace to the hospital wing with a worried Pansey close behind.

"Potter went to see you this morning and he said we were supposed to have a tutoring session tonight and when he didn't show all of us began to worry and began looking for him, I came down here to see if you had seen him when I found him passed out outside your door"

"Poppy!" Snape yelled as he set the child down on the closest bed as the plump medi-witch cam running from her office

"Professor Snape what is wrong?"

"Poppy, Mr Potter was found outside my office door passed out and ice forming around him"

"Right" the woman sighed as she cast a blue charm over Harry to check the boys vitals and brain waves however the ice prevented anything

"The ice is blocking my magic somehow, I am going to have to melt it before I can give any information." Poppy then wished her wand in slash and a red jet was shoot out only instead of melting the ice, the spell rebounded and melted the vase. In retaliation the ice began getting thicker until Harry was frozen in a solid brick of ice.

"What the bloody hell is happening poppy?" Snape yelled as Pansey stood open mouthed.

Before replying the woman shot a purple light at the ice and as the light faded the woman paled.

"What is it?" Snape asked knowing the look was not good

"The ice has its own magical signiture. It appears as thought the ice is Mr Potter's doing"

"That's ridiculous, why would Potter freeze himself?" Pansey blurted

"Self defence" Snape replied

"I'm afraid professor Snape is correct, Mr Potter was hit off gaurd after being hit with a spell he colapsed and as such his magic took immediate action and did whatever it had to, to make sure he suffered no more injury" poppy replied

"Okay that's good right? Now he's not hurt and all we have to do is thaw him out?"

"Not quite, you see, because this ice is from the very core of Mr Potter's magic only he himself can thaw it in a conscious state." Poppy replied

"So if we can wake him up the-"

"No" Snape replied sadly "Mr Potter will not wake up until his magic has finished healing himself."

"So what do we do?" Pansey asked

"I will watch over him, but unfortunately all we can do is waite and hope he waked up"

"Madam Pom-" Draco, Nevile, and Theodore Nott barged in but stopped short at the sight.

"What's wrong?" Draco asked

"Harry, he was attacked and now he is frozen in ice until his body magic is done healing him" Pansey answered quite upset about the situation

"Will Harry be okay? Who attacked him?" Nevile asked

"We do not know, all we can do is waite" Snape replied

"And find out who attacked him" Draco suplied

"Why would someone want to do this, I don't really know him but Potter seems like an okay bloke" Theodore spoke up

"Poppy, could you get me a headach relief" Dumbledore old ragged voice bombed as he walked into the room. "Ah hello there children, professor" the man nodded in respect but stopped short in seeing their glum face. "What seems to trouble you?"

"It's Harry sir" Draco spoke up. "Someone attacked him and now he's stuck in ice"

"Ice!?" Dumbledore half yelled out loud and at ounce each of the students stepped aside as to allow the old man a view at the frozen saviour. During the entire exchange Snape's eyes never left the headmaster as he began to poke at the ice. "It's got Mr Potter's magical signiture" Dumbledore stated in awe

"Yes Poppy has already done a check up however the ice seems to prevent magic being used on him" Snape replied

"May I?" Dumbledore asked of the medi-witch

"I don't think that a good idea, I tried a simple warming charm and the ice deflected the spell melting a vase and then doubled in thickness" the woman replied handing over the headach relief

"Your the medical professional" Dumbledore spoke softly, almost silently. After taking the vile the elder man left and headed up to his office

"You may want to head out too, I will alert you if Mr Potter has any changes."

Each of the ocupants began leaving until only Neville and Draco were left "madam? Would it be alright if we stayed for a bit?" Neville spoke up

"I suppose there is no harm, you may stay for an hour but then you will have to return to your dormitories"

The two boys walked over next to Harry and took seats on either side.

"Who would have hurt Harry like this?" Neville asked quietly

"I don't know Nev" Draco replied looking at Harry with teary eyes.
