"What? When was she sent there?" Drake asked hastily and Ryan stepped inside, shutting the door behind him.

"A little under ten minutes ago," Ryan said and Drake ran a hand over his face.

"Give us a second to get dressed and we'll head over to the hospital," Drake said and Ryan nodded before Drake disappeared into the bedroom.

"Who was at the door?" She asked as he stepped in.

"Ryan, we need to go to the hospital." Drake explained and Nicki got nervous as she got up.

"Wh-what? Why do we need to go to the hospital?" She asked trying to keep calm.

"My mom, she has problems with her spine so she gets sent into the hospital a lot," Drake said and handed Nicki a shirt and pair of jeans.

Once they both were dressed, they both left the bedroom and Nicki greeted Ryan. Drake watched them and their interaction seems tense and apprehensive which made him even more suspicious. He helped Nicki get her coat on before pulling on his own and following his girlfriend and cousin out the door, locking it behind himself.

The trio piled into Ryan's car and Drake waited for either of them to say anything but no one spoke. He stared out the window and sighed deciding that it was more important to focus on his mother rather than his own paranoid suspicions.

Once they arrived, Ryan dropped Nicki and Drake off at the entrance so he could find a place to park and the couple walked hand in hand to the front desk.

"Hello, how may I help you two?" The woman at the front desk asked.

"Hello, can you tell us what room a Sandra Graham can be found in, I'm her son, Aubrey." Drake explained and the woman looked through something on the computer.

"You'll find her on the seventh floor, room number 784," she said with a warm smile and the young couple thanked her before heading towards the elevators. Drake hit the call button and one immediately opened.

They stepped in and were completely alone. Nicki held on to Drake tightly and he smiled down at her. Her tiny body snuggled into his perfectly and Drake could feel her light shaking.

"Afraid of elevators?" He asked and she giggled.

"No, its just that this isn't exactly the way I thought I would meet your mother and the rest of your family for the first time. I imagined a happier occasion." Nicki explained and Drake wrapped his arm around her. She melted to his touch and wrapped her arms around his torso.

"Don't worry, this has happened before, my mom will be just fine, she's strong and she's gonna love you, I promise." Drake said and Nicki felt a bit at ease but still had a looming weight on her shoulders.

Finally the doors of the elevator opened, bit sooner than Nicki would have liked. She and Drake followed the signs until they found Ms. Sandi's room. He knocked quietly before entering the room.

"Hey ma," Drake greeted and kissed his mother's cheek before greeting all his other relatives.

"Hello Aubrey," his mother greeted, a bit weaker sounding than usual. Ms. Sandi eyed his son and noticed his happy grin. "Who is she?" she asked and Drake furrowed his brow.

"How did you know there was a girl?" he asked and she chuckled.

"I'm your mother," Ms. Sandi answered and Drake smiled.

"I'll go get her, she's waiting in the hall but she's nervous to meet you all so please be nice." Drake asked and his mother waved him off.

"Yes, yes just go get the girl that has my son so happy." She said hoping he wouldn't bring another Catya.
