I checked the time . . . 9:53. It's already that late and I am still here. It is still raining ridiculously heavy. I am in Carlo's room. It's not what it seems to be! It's just that we weren't able to go to wherever we were about to go because the rain was so heavy. We then decided to stop by his house and watch a movie. But we watched three movies and still no sign saying the rain will stop.

"Ok! Blanket, pillows and pajamas!" He reached the materials as he abruptly interrupted my train of thought.

"Hey! I'm not sleeping here . . ." he yawned. And nodded at me consecutively--mocking me?

"Yes you are. I already asked permission" He smiled. And he is here with me? I think he is a real gentleman, though. He still separated himself from me. There he went--to a farther couch and slept.

I was now looking at his window. The rain still hasn't stop nor did it get lighter. It's really unreal and unbelievable though: I felt comfortable and protected with Carlo here. But still, I am feeling awkward seeing a boy in my span of vision, more importantly--in the same room. Feeling frustrated, I lied down. And at times like this, I will definitely start singing. It was like an involuntary habit now. Any minute now . . . eventually . . .

"Do you hear me? I'm talking to you

Across the water, across the deep blue ocean

Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm tryin' "

I hummed Colbie's part. And sang the chorus. Unexpectedly, Carlo sang along.

"Lucky I'm in love with my best friend

Lucky to have been where I have been

Lucky to be coming home again"

Then my vision went to his. And we continued to sing in harmony.

"They don't know how long it takes

Waiting for a love like this

 Everytime we say goodbye

I wish we had one more kiss

I'll wait for you, I promise you, I will"

The song made me sleepy . . . and happy. I didn't think it was the song that made me happy. With that thought cut, I felt drowsy. As I slowly drifted to my dream world, another poem went out of my mind.

I would cherish this one night

That I felt safe and protected

Maybe because he was in my sight

My fears and worries faded

And then I fell asleep. I had this wonderful dream: I was living in an enormous mansion. Then I saw three kids running around the living room. I saw this one man of my age. He held and kissed my hand, then hugged me goodbye. He took his coat with him as he waved at me with a smile on his face.

"Wake up!!" Someone screamed. Of course it had to be Carlo. Sometimes, he just got the vibes toruin a wonderful dream doen't he?

"Buzz off! You ruined my dream!" I covered my face with a pillow.

"Get out of my room!" I screamed. That's when it hit me--I am not in my room. I removed the pillow and took my phone. I almost let out a bad word as I checked the time. I am late for school. I gave a glance at Carlo and see that he slept once again. I took everything I needed before I get back home.

I was late for school and gut punished. But still who was the guy in that dream? Who were the kids?
