Chloe's P.O.V.
I grab Amy's hand right before we enter the house and I get nervous. We walk in and I hear laughter coming from the kitchen. How could there be laughter when my mom and dad are in the same room...the hate each other. We make it into the living room and all eyes are on us. My dad stands and my eyes get wide. He is 6'3 and he looks healthy. He used to drink a lot and I never seen him look this good. He walks over to me and I give him a hug. I breath in his familiar scent and tears form in my eyes.
He let's go and Amy races to my side and I giggle when she flips him off when he went to look at Shawn. They started talking but I didn't even bother to pay attention. My dad introduced me and Shawn to his wife Alice and her son Luke. I wave and my phone starts to ring...Harry. I excuse myself and I head up to my room to answer it.
Me: Hey babe.
Harry: Hey love...are you crying?
Me: Yeah, my dad and his new wife and step son showed up at my house.
Harry: Wait so your telling me the drunk that would beat you and put you in the hospital is at your house right now!
Me: Harry I didn't know he was coming. Plus he is sober now.
Harry: Ugh, I know its not your fault. I just don't like him.
Me: Yeah neither does Amy. She has been flipping him off ever since we got here.
Harry: Lol that's my sister. I wanted to call and tell you that I'm catching an early plane and I'll be back in three days.
Me: Yes! I didn't want to wait anymore. I miss you so much.
Harry: I know you do baby. I have to go but I love you.
Me: Love you too.
I get off of the phone with Harry and I head back downstairs. My dad questions about Harry and my mom starts laughing.
Mom: I don't think you want to get her talking about Harry. She won't shut up.
Me: Mom!
The rest of the day goes by fast and everyone leaves to go back to their house. Amy heads home and I go up to my room. I lay on my bed and think about my dad. I enjoyed seeing him and I think it will help Shawn a lot. I don't know how this is going to play out but I am going to keep an open mind.
