I hide in the dark
In the depths of your mind
A secret to be kept
Where no one shall find
I am the voice inside you
That makes you feel blue
You scream for me to go away
Even though I shall stay
I am the voice you fear
the one you hope no one will hear
I whisper good night
as you turn out the light
By the use of that knife
You let me into your life
Every day when you wake
You wear a smile so fake
I am the voice
You made the choice
You wanted a friend
Until the very end
I am the voice
Who gave you a choice
I give you the knife
That ended your life
