Once a friend told me
They wondered
What love was like
And I laughed

I told that friend
A story I had never
Told anyone that night

"Love is when
You like someone
For more than just their looks

Your consumed by
Every little piece of them
They way they talk
They way they laugh

You love the way
They help you when it hurts
How they hold you until
You fell ok

Or when your mad,
Angry, depressed
They never leave you alone
Because they know
Things will just get worse

They ask you what's wrong
Until you give in
They let you cry in their arms
They comfort you
In every single way"

"When you love a person
You fall for them
Even if they don't fall for you

So that's where
The story turns dark
Love becomes bad"

They waited
Wondering
What would happen next

"I'm in love
And it hurts

Love is a cruel thing
When the person you love
Will never love you back"
