I've been out alone for days now, I've avoided getting myself involved with a herd of walkers multiple times but it's getting harder by the minute, every time i find a place to settle something always has to ruin it or it's just not safe for me to be there. Ever since that day my mom got eaten alive in front of me I've never looked at the world the same, it's cruel.
My name is Lucy and I'm sixteen, I've grew up to have a weird childhood in an apocalypse, both my mom and sister have passed because of those walkers but my dad I'm not exactly sure if he's alive or not, he just took off when this full thing started, he didn't even help his own family. Now that I've lost them all I've had to fight my own battles and I've managed to find my way around even though I'm terrified.
I reached this massive wall which must be surrounding, what seems like, a full town. The walls are huge and there's a watch tower towering over the walls, it looks like it's well protected and-
"What are you doing?" I snap round to see a boy standing staring at me as if I'm some alien like creature, he looks about my age and he's a tad taller than me, he's actually quite nice looking..oh god I need to stop not even been one second and I'm already eyeing him up. Oops.
"Who are you? Mind your own business.." I shrug him off and walk towards the tall Gate that is catching my eye, there's a few walkers coming my way so I think I'll decide to show off what I've got.
Three stabs to the head and they're down and I hear slow clapping behind me.
"Bravo..your aren't that bad at defending, what are you doing here?" He says with a smug grin on his face, who does he think he is? He's staring into my eyes waiting for an answer, this boy really thinks he's going to get want he wants.
"Second time asking must be keen? Anyways it's none of your business bye" I finish with a confidence and walk towards to the gate I hit on it three times and Someone pulls it open, revealing a mullet owning man. He has no expression on his face and is just staring, what's up with people staring today. He turns his head from left to right and a woman comes walking over, she's got Long brown hair and is really pretty, she doesn't look like she's in an apocalypse, I'm here looking like a tramp while she's looking like a model.
"You alright? What's your name? I'm guessing your wanting in here?" She swings her gun to her back and crosses her arms waiting on my reply, I suddenly feel nervous and I don't know why. "Um..I'm Lucy I've been out for a while and um I'm wondering if I could stay a night or two? If it's alright" I gulp. She looks at the mullet guy and turns round looking at her surroundings she then faces me again and invites me in. She asks for my weapons and hand them over,I suppose it's their safety rules. We walk for a while and she's asking me loads of questions about how I've got here and stuff and she finally tells me her name, it's Rosita. She takes me to a house where she's talking to some people about me moving in with them.
"I'm Rick, how long have you Been out for and how many people you killed?" He's so intimidating, he must be the leader he has to be,she wouldn't lead me up to a random guy of course this is the leader and he's questioning me right now.
"Hi I'm lucy..em I've been crashing out at places here and there and my family aren't here anymore I've killed one person because they shot my sister..I..I had to I'm-" Rick cuts me off and shakes his head as he's understanding what I'm saying.
"I get it..your definitely alone then? No group or what-" I shake my head, where's that boy that was outside the walls he'll tell them I was alone I don't have a group. Rick invites me in and shows me to a spare bedroom he has in his house, he said a woman called michonne also lives with him and his son and daughter. I'm so excited to meet them, Rick said he's going to organise a dinner for tomorrow so everyone can meet me, I feel so welcome already. He also wants me to start training tomorrow just to be safe, not complaining.
