I am looking for suggestions as to where Tangled fans would like this story to go? What should Maximus and Pascale get up to? Shall we check in with Rapunzel and Eugene on their anniversary getaway? What characters or settings shall we explore? I am open to any and all reader suggestions- please comment away!
It was Rapunzel and Eugene's first wedding anniversary and the village was a whirlwind of activity. And paper. Lots and lots of paper. The townspeople had gone a little overboard in embracing the accepted medium of celebration for 365 days of wedded bliss: paper. There were paper cranes hanging on paper chains between the buildings. The children were folding swans and cups, or becoming frustrated by the task and shredding up the paper instead into white confetti. A soft, portly woman named Gertrude had braided carnation petals into Maximus' tail and laid a carnation wreath around his head. Maximus had promptly trotted off before Pascale could laugh at him, but it turned out he didn't have to worry about it as Pascale appeared to be missing. Now that he wanted to find Pascale, Maximus couldn't see him anywhere.
Pascale could be any old place, though Maximus gruffly. This was an important day and he did not want to waste his time looking for that little green nuisance. Although if he were honest with himself, he did enjoy the company now that Rapunzel and Eugene were busy with their own affairs. In fact, they had elected to go away this weekend rather than spend it in the village! Maximus couldn't believe it. He had gone to a romantic picnic that Eugene had planned for Rapunzel so that he could eat the granny smith apples and rhubarb pie while they were distracted kissing, and he had then overhead them discussing, "Wouldn't it be nice to get away, just the two of us?" and "It's been so long since the sound of crickets lulled us to sleep" along with other such nonsense.
