The Monster Within

Chapter 4

Christian POV

It was the day after general told us about our parents I found Chelsea on the couch I could see her stuffy nose and red eyes. She woke up "Hey want breakfast?" She nod in agreement, she wasn't doing so good she was the one who was closest to our mother they both looked similar with there brown eyes and the long dark hair. We were eating at the table is was quiet you could almost hear the birds chirping then the doorbell rang. Chelsea looked up at me and sat on the couch she was preparing herself.

I answered the door "Soldier Bidman where's General?" "He had some business to attended to so I'm here in his place" I welcome him in where the couch was and waiting to tell us what exactly happened. He began talking and telling us what happened to our parents "Christian, Chelsea your parents were on a mission with other groups trying to locate the Prince of Youth, the Prince of Youth will helps up fight our war with Southern Kingdom. We were told he was somewhere in the west district since no one ever traveled west we decided to be the first. We went two separate ways your parents plus our soldier Conard went one way when the other team went a different path. I was with the other team we reached the end found nothing then came back that's when we heard the screams. We went to the path where your parents were, we found them dead along with Conard. It seemed your father put up a good fight but in the end the monster won. But you see this wasn't no accident someone wanted them dead. We found a black rose next to your mother with a note." He gave us the note it said "Well if you are reading this, this means you've failed to capture the Prince of Youth he's in my hands now oh and your little team that was no accident how sad they died by my monster like I said this was no accident this is war and we are going to win and make sure all of you pay goodbye if I were you I wouldn't train anymore soldiers you'll just have many more graves do dig."

I looked at Chelsea I could see tears running down her eyes then she suddenly started speaking again "So this was a murder" I could hear how afraid she was "Yes, Chelsea this is war there are going to be many more deaths involved, well that's all for today I'll see you around goodbye if you need anything just let me know" "We will" he left

As soon as I turned around I saw Chelsea really mad she was glowing red everywhere she has her hands in a fists like she's ready to punch someone "So it's there fault that Mama and Papa are DEAD!" She started to get really mad and furious her hair even started lifting by itself I swear I could see flames in her eyes. "There dead because they killed them, they should pay for what they did, THEY SHOULD ALL PAY" I knew this wasn't her this was the demon inside I need to calm her down, I grabbed her by the arms "Chelsea, ow" I let go instantly her whole body was burning like it's on fire. It doesn't matter I need to stop her. "Chelsea look at me, you need calm down I know it's sad that they're dead, but you are not yourself right now if you let the demon in all of our parents hard work would go down the drain, they have spent 17 years keeping the demon inside all those years would go down the drain all because you want vengeance nothing's going to bring then back besides you haven't loss everything you still have me" she starts to feel cooler she's calming down and her hair isn't in the air anymore. "Your right, your right thank you Christian for everything" good we all settled down

*Bang Bang* We heard lots of banging from our door it sounded like someone was trying to break in. They broke the door down it was General and a whole bunch of his soldiers "General what's going on?" "Grab Him!" The general yelled at his soldiers, they start grabbing me and pulling to outside I started yelling at general not knowing what's going on "General what's going on!" That's when Chelsea finally came out of her room "General what's going on what are you doing to Christian" next thing I know it he pushes her down to the ground where she hurts her head "CHELSEA" "take him somewhere far away" they try to take me but I manage a little more. Chelsea try's to stand up but the General pulls out his sword against her neck "Now you listen to me little girl you had us all fooled but not anymore" "What are you talking about?" "Shut Up! You know what I'm talking about your the girl who has the demon inside aren't you" Chelsea looks surprised I'm surprised too how did he know. "Ahhaha we finally found you make sure these two are separated and they don't have any kind of contact ever again. GO!" They tried pulling me but I was stronger than they were I yelled for Chelsea's name, she had enough got up and tried to fight but then the General nocked her out with a piece of wood he had.

Chelsea's POV

I was going to fight I needed my brother when someone nocked me out I opened my eyes and barely see that they were taking my brother away from me everything was still so blurry I could see the generals face in front of mine "Now it's time to get rid of you, Monster" They tried to take Christian away but he was too strong then they injected him with something that made him unconscious, they were dragging him away from me. I remembered all the things he and I went through and knew I didn't want to loose my brother I broke free from the ropes they tied me with and jumped out of the window cutting myself everywhere. I ran toward the wagon they had my brother in that's when there were soldiers hiding behind rocks, trees in the fields I looked around, I was surrounded
