Chapter 5 - Explore

5 minutes later, Major Davis arrived with an announcement.

"JJ, I need your suit. Cameron, come with me." Cameron, bemused, got up and followed Major Davis out of the room. When they had gone, Jenny appeared beneath the camera, in its blind spot.

"Woah! Jenny! Don't do that!"

"We need to follow Cameron."

"Why?"

"Did you see the look on Davis' face? They're taking Cameron on a mission!"

"And?"

Jenny gave an exasperated groan. "They're using him. They're going to do something illegal, maybe break into a bank or something. And then they'll wipe his memory."

"Are they allowed to do that?"

"No. Can they do it? Yes. Are they going to? Yes."

"What do we do?" Asked JJ.

Jenny sighed. "Nothing, now. We can't do anything at the moment. But, as the Major is away, and presumably Dr. Stevens, we can go explore this place." she said reluctantly.

"Yeah. Great idea Jenny, except for the fact that we're stuck in here."

"I've been working on that. There's a girl I'm sharing my room with. She's telepathic."

JJ did a double take. "Lucy!" he cried.

"Yes, that's it. They've been training her to control people's minds."

"No way!" exclaimed JJ.

"Yes way. And we can use that to our advantage."

'Hey! Lucy! Could you get the guard to let us out of here? You know Cameron? He’s been taken for a mission!' Jenny shouted in her mind.

'Ok!' came the reply.

A minute later, the door was open, a bemused-looking guard standing in front of them.

"Jenny, the camera!"

Jenny stopped. The CCTV camera above her whirred as it rotated, turning. The door would be in shot in a matter of seconds. JJ sped up, and pulled out a wire.

"They’ll notice that, roadrunner." Jenny quipped, walking out of the room.

"Roadrunner?"

"It’s a cool nickname. So shush."

'What are we meant to do now, Jenny?' Lucy thought, stepping out from behind the guard. "Oh, hey JJ."

"Now, we go have a look around. See if there's anything interesting we can find."

"Like what?" asked JJ, looking at Jenny expectantly.

"You really think there are only four of us?"

"Good point."

"Where are we going to find that out?"

"Look, Jenny, you're the only one who can be stealthy." Lucy said. "JJ here breaks everything when he goes fast."

"Give me two minutes. Stay low."

Jenny returned a few minutes later, a folded suit in her arms. "Oh no."

"Look, JJ, there was some footage playing of you wearing it and running. You can only see a shadow of you."

"But..."

"Shut up, roadrunner. Go put the suit on."

JJ sighed, and returned a second later wearing the suit. Jenny and Lucy stifled giggles.
