Chapter 6:

(James POV)

Emily ran away from the table crying. I could tell she wasn't okay with all of us sitting together. At the same time, Carlos and Kendall shit out of their seats. "No, I'll go." I said. They both say down with a confused look on their face. I walked away from the table and went to look for Em. After a few minutes of searching, I found her sitting against the wall crying. I sat next to her and gave her a hug. "Em, everything's gonna be okay." I said as I stroked her hair. She squeezed me tighter and laid her head in my chest. "What am I supposed to do? Tell him I had sex with one of his best friends?" She asked, crying harder. "Em, that was the past. You didn't even know Kendall then, and you were drunk. He can't get mad at you for that." I said, trying to calm her down. She continued to cry into my chest. "But this is going to make things really awkward. Especially, since you and Carlos were like my best friends. It's just gonna be hard having people that know my horrible past, hang out with my boyfriend. Kendall doesn't know about all my mistakes, and I'm pretty sure he'll want nothing to do with me if he finds out!" She said, crying so hard that there was a giant wet spot on my shirt. "Emily, I've known Kendall for a long time, and he's made mistakes too. You shouldn't worry about what happened between you and Carlos. It's not like Kendall knows anyways. Everything's gonna be okay." I rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. She looked up at me and smiled. "Your right. Thanks for always being here for me when I need you." She said. I smiled and helped her up. We walked back to the table together. "Em, are you okay?!" Kendall got out of his seat and ran over to hug Emily. "Yeah, I just lost it for a second. But, I'm fine now." She answered. "Hey do you guys want to get out of here? We could always just hang out at the apartment I rented." I suggested. "Yes!" Emily responded quickly. The other guys nodded and we headed to the parking lot. "We'll follow you there." Kendall said to me. I nodded and hopped in the car. My apartment is about five minutes away. I pulled out of the parking lot. Kendall's car was car was right behind mine. I looked in the rear view mirror, and saw Emily sitting in the passenger seat. She was laughing and had a big smile on her face. When we stopped at a red light, Kendall leaned over and started kissing Emily passionately. I sighed. "That should be me!" I whispered to myself. Then, I realized what I just said. Did I like Emily? I froze in shock. Then, Kendall beeped the horn and I saw him giving me the finger. They were both laughing. The light had already turned green. I drove down my street and pulled into the drive way. Hey guys parked there guys and I unlocked the door. I let everyone in. "Where's your bedroom?" Kendall asked. "Down the hall and to the left." I told him. "Do you mind if we use it?" Kendall asked, grabbing Emily's hand. "Kendall!" Emily said pulling her hand away. "Come on, em. I was just kidding!" Kendall said, pushing the hair out of Emily's face. He kissed her softly on the lips, then they sat down on the couch together. I can't believe how jealous I am right now.
