Okay guys, so this is a new story I hope you like it.
~Reborn
Prologue ~
A tear slides down my cheek as another layer of glass settles on the asphalt.
My chest hurt when I found out. Everything did. He cheated on me. Jason cheated on me. The very thought of his lips on hers made anger flare up inside me.
A shriek leaves my lips as I slam the metal baseball bat on the hood of his car. I knew he loved this thing. I'd been with him for a year. One solid year of my life that I could never get back.
I pull a can of purple spray paint out of my bag along with a knife. I slash all four of his tires, satisfied by the hissing that resonates in the cold night air.
More tears flow freely from my eyes as I think back to what I saw earlier this evening. We were supposed to be going to dinner for my birthday. I let myself into his house after he wasn't answering his phone. I heard moans and other sounds that made me sick to my stomach, coming from the top of the stairs. Jason couldn't be with another girl up there, could he? Not the Jason I loved. I climbed the stairs slowly and peeked through the slightly open door to his room. My heart dropped at the scene, any hope I had flew out the window.
There he was on his bed with the stupid slut of a head cheerleader. He looked up as a horrified gasp parted my lips. He jumped up and ran towards me.
"Baby," he'd said. "It's not what it looks like."
My heart ached to believe him, but my mind was telling me that he was lying.
"How could you?" I'd asked. My eyes took in the lipstick stains on his collarbones. I look further from him to see the red haired bimbo he was with smirking at me.
He stepped towards me, opening his mouth to say something.
"Save it. We're done." He tried to reach out to me and I backed away, disgusted. I saw hurt flash through his eyes and I slapped him. Hard. How dare he feel hurt after cheating on me?! I ran out of the room, tears cascading down my cheeks.
Now I was here, at his house in the middle of the night, trashing his car.
'I hope she was worth it.' I write on one of the bashed in doors.
I let out another scream as I break the last window. The inside of the car was littered with glass.
I throw the can to the ground and walk away, heartbroken. But then I realize that getting over Jason is just step one to me becoming a new person. Step one to becoming reborn.
