The fireflies started filling the bubble illuminating it.
''Zela! Look at me.'' She looked towards me, her eyes red but seeing the glowing insects, a smile formed on her lips.
''Wow! Alan, it's surreal. Magic is really present, in our hearts, in this world. Breathtaking, I should say.'' I felt happy and contented to see her glowing face. I would do anything for that priceless smile of hers.
''Wanna go for a ride across the city?''
''This bubble will not burst like the soap bubbles?'' She asked rhetorically.
''Do you trust me?'' I asked for her hand. She placed her hand in mine and nodded.
I blinked and said the magic word aloud for her to hear zela. She looked at me confusingly and I smirked. The bubble started flying btween the buildings, shops,parks,roads and she was thoroughly enjoying it, I could see it in the way she was smiling.
''Look, Stacy!'' I looked in the direction to which she was pointing. The same girl from the school's cheerleader squad who was drooling at me . She was sitting in a cafe, sipping her juice with.......Dean.
''Wait and watch!'' She raised an eyebrow at me. I spelled my magic word and blinked. Stacy threw the juice on Dean's face. We both laughed seeing them argue and Stacy looked confused.
''You are notorious.'' She said in between her laughter.
I took the bubble to the highest, above all buildings.
''Whoa, the view is spectacular.''
''Let's go to the Eiffel Tower.'' The bubble floated in full speed and we reached in front of Eiffel Tower. It was dusk time and the tower was shining with wavering lights. We both sat in the bubble watching the alluring view in front of us. Without saying any word, we just sat there watching it. I started to take the bubble upwards again, on top of the city.
''I have to show you something.'' She haven't seen it ever. On reaching at the top, the sky above us and the city below, I stretched the bubble to the size of a football stadium , Illuminating it with fireflies. She started to run all along the length, laughing and giggling joyfully.
''Oh! Alan, You are too good. I like you. I haven't seen anything so attractive like this.'' I sat down carelessly watching her dance, jump, enjoying the moment. She came and sat besides me.
''Alan, you made me feel special.'' She whispered.
''I never used my powers but only when I need them. I haven't felt special in using them. But today, with you, I find myself on top of the world.'' She laughed.
''We are on top of the world.''
''Are you hungry?'' We haven't eaten anything and it's dinner time.
''Yea..lil bit.''
''What do you want to eat?'' I asked.
''Ummm..pizza with extra cheese.'' She clapped her hands together.
''As you wish.'' I looked downwards towards the city and spotted the pizza shop near my home. I blinked and said the word and the pizza was available.
''Yeeee....it's fun.'' She opened the pizza box. I took one piece and lie down watching downwards, the busy city shining. She did the same.
''Alan, may I ask a question?'' She took a bite of her piece.
''Hmm.''
''Why do you say my name when you use your power?''
''I don't know, the voice taught me.'' Really, I don't know. Before meeting her, I couldn't imagine anyone having that word as a name.
''I see, who is the voice?''
''Uhh...I don't know.'' I scratched my head.
''The city looks amazing from here. The lights Shining like stars. We are in between two worlds, the star world and the city world. Crazy I am!!'' She slapped herself.
''Alan,are you a born wizard?''
''Ummm... No, when I was eight, I got the powers. I was very angry with my parents on that day. They were always busy and don't spend time with me. I long for my mom's handmade food and her care and playing with my dad on weekends. But they never cared for me. Each of them busy in making money and to uplift their careers. It was a Saturday and We planned for an outing. I was so excited, I have packed all the things. But at the last moment, dad got a call from his company and mom got this as an opportunity to bunk the outing. I ran from there, to the lake behind our home. I cried and shouted and remained there throwing pebbles into the lake and seeing the eddies. I broke my locket which contained a pic of me with my mom and dad. But when I threw it in the water, I didn't saw any eddies in lieu I found heavy lightning above the lake. I was just a kid, I got frightened and ran away but en route, the lightning striked me and I fell unconscious. When I woke up, I found myself on my bed in my room. I thought it was a dream and forget about it. But the locket was not present anymore with me. The other day, on the same time when I ran, I heard my name being called from the backside of the house. Out of curiosity, I went back to the same lake and a voice welconed me. At first, I was hesitant but that voice asked me to do things and I did and I found out that I got powers. I started going there almost everyday and I enjoyed it. I learned to use my powers carefully and at the right time. But one day, when I went there, the voice gifted me something which I didn't wanted, the powerful anger, it comes daily anytime and I do my best to control it. As I grew up, I organized my powers and started enjoying them. But when I exercise open-mind, a commotion starts and day-by-day, it increases.'' She was listening the whole time patiently. My life, my powers, the thing which was on my mind, I haven't told anyone about my powers till now, but today I have told each and every bit.
The future is waiting for you. That voice spoke.
''What is open-mind?'' She asked.
''Experiencing the waves and signals. When I open-mind, I could hear and see the different waves, wifi signals, and other signals also. Everywhere they are present, increasing day-by-day. I could see the messages which people sent to each other. It's like a chaos.''
