Chapter 2: Gotham Warehouse (2)

(Robin's POV Continued)
As Kid Flash and I ran towards the Warehouse we could hear fighting and explosions coming from the building and then out of the blue a black smoke cloud bellows from the roof of the Warehouse as another explosion can be heard,
"What the heck have they done?" Kid Flash asks
"I don't know but I'm calling the Watchtower, this is far beyond us" I say
"What look!" KF shouts and we look at the Warehouse to see the roof open up and what look like a massive canon
"What the heck is that?" I ask
"Rob call the Justice League" KF says and I activate the comms

"Robin to Watchtower" I say
"Watchtower here what's going on ?" I hear from the Flash
"We need the Justice League here now, the team ran into the Warehouse and now a canons aimed at Gotham" I say
"We're on our way" the Flash says and the comm goes dead
"That canons aimed for Wayne Tower" I say to KF
"Why there?" He asks
"If it falls thousands of people will die" I say
"Let's just hope the League gets here in time" KF says and I nod in agreement

The WatchTower
February  2, 11:30pm EST...
(Batman's POV)
"Attention all Leaguers this is an amber level threat, Repeat amber level" Martian ManHunter says over the speakers
"ManHunter what's going on?" I ask walking into the operations room
"Robin reported from Gotham that the team ran blindly into the building against his and Kid Flash's words and soon after what looked to be a canon came from the roof and is now aimed at  somewhere in Gotham" Flash says taking a breather
"We'll worry about who instigated this breach of our orders later for now we head for Gotham and take out what ever it is that is aimed at the city" I say and we head towards the Zeta - Beams

The computer says as we Zeta - Beam to Gotham as the rest of the Leaguers try to find out what is the canons purpose

February  3, 12:00 am EST...
When we arrived in Gotham we weren't where we normally beamed to no, we were beamed directly to the Port of Gotham and to make it worse the 'Canon' that we were told about was already firing a beam of green light at Wayne Tower
"Robin, what happened?" I ask as I spot Robin
"The rest of the team just ran in there, we ordered otherwise but they didn't listen" Robin says
"You two did your jobs"  I say
"Covert not overt" Superman states
"What did you see before this happened?" I ask
"Three trucks drove in" he answers
"Three? Three can't fit in there" Flash says
"There was a dais on the ground, like a massive elevator to a basement or something" I say
"Captain Marvel, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern as well as Aquaman will stay here and disarm that Canon, the rest of us are going into that basement to investigate" I say and with that we get to work

Port of Gotham
February  3 12:15 pm EST...
(3rd Person POV)
"You heard Batman disarm that Canon" Green Lantern says
"Whys it aimed at Wayne Tower?" Wonder Woman asks
"Tallest building in Gotham you do the math" Flash says as they approach the Canon
"Ah... Can't... Be" Superman breaths out
"Kryptonite" Green Lantern states looking at the beam
"Yes a powerful Canon powered by Kryptonite" a mysterious voice says " clever isn't it?" The voice asks
"Lex Luthor" Superman states
"Yes and with the destruction of Wayne Tower and most of Gotham, myself along with the Legion of Doom will be able to swoop in and take control" Lex Luthor says
"What's your end game with this?" Flash asks
"My end game? It's simple with control of Gotham the Legion of Doom will be able to spread out and take America and then the entire world" Lex Luthor explains "any minute now Wayne Tower will crash to the ground with enough explosive power to take out anything and anyone in it's path" Lex Luthor finishes

"We got to stop him" Green Lantern says
"Superman can you use your X - Ray Vision to see a way to disarm the Canon?" Captain Marvel asks
"I can't it's made of lead" Superman Says
"We need to disrupt that Kryptonite beam" Captain Marvel says
" Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel follow me" Green Lantern says

Under The Port...
(Batman's POV)
"It would seem as though those trucks had Kryptonite loaded on them" I say
"Scans confirm it, all three had it" Robin says
"What was it for though?" Kid Flash asks as I walk to a computer station and turn it on
"It would seem that the Kryptonite is being used to power that Canon above and the beam has Kryptonite crystals firing at Wayne Tower" I explain
"So those crystals will weaken the structure and cause it to fall, right?" Green Arrow asks
"Correct, and currently Wayne Tower has it's own in - built power facility since Gotham Blacks out every time a Villain decides to blow up the power station" I say
"Batman the collapse of Wayne Tower will set the Power facility into overload" Robin says
"And that means it will be good bye Central Gotham" Kid Flash finishes
"Would you look at that" Artemis says as the team joins us
"What is it?" Superboy asks
"Our answer to disarming that Canon, and it looks like it's all set up incase there plan failed" I say
"Who's plan?" Miss Martain asks
"Our Plan" a voice says
"Joker" I say
"Very clever Batman, for second there I thought you were never going to figure out the obvious" he says
"What's your end game?" I ask
"Don't you mean our end game, learn to keep up bats" he taunts
"Whose we?" Robin asks
"Who do you think boy blunder?" He mocks
"The Legion of Doom, they're trying to take Gotham" I say
"Very clever bats but I doubt you expected the ten ton recking ball" he says and suddenly a recking ball smashes down the corridor and crashes into the controls of the Canon
"Whoops, oh well Lex can always... Rebuild" the Joker says laughs and just as we're about to chase after him the controls explode
"Save Gotham from a Neuronic Bomb or take me down Batman, your call" he taunts as the roof above collapses
"Let's go" I say
"But..." Kid Flash starts
"NOW" I growl

Port of Gotham...
(3rd Person POV)
BANG!
An explosion rocked the Port as smoke and ash filled the air,
"What's happening?" Green Lantern asks
"I have no idea" Flash says
"Security Measure 1 - 2 - 4 - 0 Activating, initiating fail safe detonation" a computerised voice says
"What now?" Wonder Woman Asks
"Kryptonite Beam Terminated" the voice says
"Did the problem just solve itself?" Flash asks
"No the Joker let loss a wrecking ball and now the Legions plans are a flop" Batman says coming out of a man hole with the rest of the team
"Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern dispose of that canon before it explodes" Batman says
"How can we detach it from-" Green Lantern asks before being cut off by an explosion that forces the base of the canon to dislodge
"There's your solution now hurry" Batman says
And Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern pick up the Canon and fly it into space were it explodes

"Warning 20 seconds until Port detonation" the computer says
"Let's get out of here" Flash says
"Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, meet at the Watchtower" Batman says over his headset and the Young Justice League and Justice League left for the Watchtower but they didn't notice the injured bird as the port began to explode left and right

"Detonation in:

7...
6...
5...
4...
3...
2...
1..." And then the Port of Gotham explodes
