beep beep my alarm went off it said 5:45 am Darn I have to get up I thought. I got up John was still sleeping I didnt want to wake him up I left him sleeping and washed my face and brushed my teeth. Then I put on my unifrom for work. I went to Laceys room "sweetie you have to get up its almost six o ' clock I said. "But I don't want to get up" Lacey groaned. "Yes come on its Friday." I said walking out of her room and seeing john got up. "Goodmorning sweetie" I said to john. "Goodmorning" he said yawning. "Are you going to take Lacey to school?" I asked walking down the carpet stairs. "No I want mommy to take me" I heard Lacey say in a winny voice. "Sweetie go wash your face and brush your teeth" I said. "Ok I will" I heard John say coming down stairs wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans. He looked so handsome with his hazel eyes. I thought. "Ok" I said. "Sweetie do you want a muffin or cereal" I shouted. "both" Lacey yelled from upstairs. "ok" I said Lacey came down wearing a pink top with sliver flowers on it and blue jeans with a pink flower head band. "Sweetie you look really cute" I said smiling. "eat your breakfast sweetie" I said. "ok I will" Laceys said. "What do you want for lunch" I asked. "A sandwich" Lacey said. "what kind of snack?" I asked. "chips and cookies." Lacey said. "Ok" I said. I started packing her lunch. Then I got a text it said:

Unknown: are you coming?

I looked at the text I just ignored it. I finished packing Laceys lunch.

"Ok sweetie ready to go?" I asked. "yes ill be right back" Lacey said. Lacey ran up stairs.

10 minutes Later..

"Ok im ready" Lacey said running down stairs. "ok" I said. "Ready sweetie?" John asked with a smile. "Yeah dad im in Sixth grade." Lacey said annoyed. "Yes I know" He said. "Bye mom" Lacey said "bye sweetie see you later". John said. walking outside. I went up stairs and finished getting ready. I didnt have to go to work until 9:45 am today so I took time to get ready. After a few hours it was nine fourty fiive. I ran down stairs and got my keys and went to my gray toyota. I drove off to the Agency. "hey Siara how are you?" janey my friend asked. "im good." I said. "Hey Siara can I show you something?" Jack asked. "Yeah what is it?" I asked. "its about the other guy he is in Los Angeles Calif. I think we have to go to Cali." Jack said. "What?!" I said. "We'll have to ask Cheif Wreckwill." I said. "ok" Jack" said. I went to cheif Wreckwill. "Hey cheif can I ask you a questions" I asked. "Yeah what? she asked. "I was wondering if I could go to Calif for for a the case "The cousin is in Calif and can it go there?" I asked impatient. "hm yes but im going to assign you with a partner Miss Reed. she is new so make her feel welcome" Mrs. Wreckwill said stirnly. "Im going to let her go on this case with you so she can learn how it works." she said. "And she is trained so dont be to easy on her" she said. "ok thanks Mrs. Wreckwill I promise we'll do good" I said walking away from her office. I went to my computer and printed out two tickets to California. and got my keys and went to the front doors and met up with Miss Reed. "So I guess..." I started to say "Yeah she told me about the assignment" she said seriously. "I was going to say that too" I said quitely. "So what is your name I started to ask when we left the building. "My name is Karel" she said. "well im Ciara" I said smiling. "nice" Karel said. "we got in the car and started to drive "so what is this case about?" Karel asked. "Well there are two men and they robbed a shoppe and one is cousins with the other guy. and one is the the managers brother and cousin. so we have the brother but we have to catch the cousin he's in Calif and I got plane..." "yeah I know you did" Karel inturrupted. "ok" I said. We drove to the airport and parked and got out our bags and went inside the airport and sat down at our gate for the plane. We satdown "im going to get something from the cafe do you want anything?'' Karel asked me with a small smile "sure" ill get a cinnamonroll" I said. "ok ill be back she said walking away. Thirty minutes later. Karel came back with two coffees and a cinnamonroll and a mufffin from starbucks "you bought me a drink? you didnt have to" I said to Karel with a smile. "you have to have something to drink with that cinnamonroll" she said smiling a little bigger than before. We ate our food and waited for them to call our plane "im going to the bathroom Karel said walking away "ill come to" I said. ten minutes later.

Lady over the speaker: "Plane seventeen is now boarding" We got up and went to the gate lady and gave her our tickets "have a nice flight" she said with a nice smile. "Thank you" we replied. we got on the plane and found our seats and sat down. I decided to call John to tell him I was going on a business trip. "Hey sweet where are you?" John asked worried. "hey sorry I didnt tell you im going on a business trip to California because the other guy is there." I said. "ok just be careful" John said. "did you pick up Lacey?" I asked. "yes I did sweetie" he said. "Ok thank you" I said. "ok bye love you" John said. "love you too" I said smiling. I hung up then I got a text it said from

Unknown: "You better meet me or else"...

I looked at the text then the plane started to fly off.
