the humans took good care of us, but I still needed to go back home.we aren't supposed. To be captured here! We are supposed to live I the wild, in a herd, flying!

the humans did give us a little time to fly, but we could only fly around inside the barn, nothing compared to in the wild! I miss my friends, my herd, our home!

Eagle feather was used to plow the field so the humans can plant food for themselves to eat during the winter. They are training me so they can ride on my.......... Back.... Blegh! That has never happened, and never will happen! I need to get away, but the Griffins are guarding us almost all the time, if I did escape, I would be caught agian. if I escaped and didn't get caught, I would have to leave the others, and I couldn't leave them behind! They need to be back in the herd! With our family, friends, and at home.

days passed by, and we are still doing the same thing everyday.

Wake up, eat, train for about an hour, fly in barn for 10 mins, water break, more training, put back in stall, go to sleep.

I couldn't see what the wingless horses enjoyed so much, this place was Terrible. If only they knew what the wild was like, what it felt like to fly, and to eat the delicious fresh grass! Oh, how I miss my home!

No Storm Cloud, you can't torture yourself by thinking too much of home.

I miss my Dam. She would know what to do.

but what about my sire? I never met him. Mother described him as a blue roan stallion with a blaze. She said he lived on a human's farm.

THE HUMANS CUT THE TIP OF OUR MOST IMPORTANT WING FEATHERS. Now we are out with the wingless horses in the paddock. That, i dont care about. The only thing I care about right now, is that I can't fly. NOOOO!!!

" Relax , it's just a few feathers, it hurt, and you are still alive, aren't You?" Teased Bella, a new arrival, and my new enemy. "JUST A FEW FEATHERS!!?? WE CANT FLY!!!!!!!!" screeched Aztec and I. Him, Water Lily, the water element foal, and I had become great friends. We started a game of tag. " gotcha Aztec!" Water Lily laughed.

. " No fair Lily! You were underwater!" Aztec doesn't like being it very much. " well, what do you expect? I'm a water element, and you can light yourself on fire to keep us from getting you, so don't even start." Water Lily replied. " fine." Aztec grumbled. "I'll be it."

he ducked his head down quickly to tag Lily, but she had already darted under the water and to the shore. Instead of noticing Lily as an easy target while getting out of the water, he chased me. I darted behind a tree and waited for him to come closer. When he stopped and tilted his head, I poked my head out one side of the tree, then hid myself agian, before poking my head out the other side. I challenged Aztec, and galloped off, kicking my legs. Aztec immediately chased me until his wing touched my flank. The humans came by, and we ignored them.especially when they came and brought us food or water. The food was okay, but I grew tired of it within a week or less. The wingless horses were stupid, believing it tasted. Different every time they got it.

of course humans aren't trustworthy, but sugar cubes, are great, and it will never get boring. That is the one human item you can trust. And oh! Oats. Sweet, crunchy delicious oats. Wild oats are okay, but these oats are the best. I'll make sure to grab some oats and sugar cubes when we escape.

"Storm, when are we going to escape!? I want to get back home to my beautiful crystal clear lake!" Water Lily whined, Aztec nodding in agreement. Except for the lake part. He had other reasons. We all did. " I dont know, sometime when the griffons aren't looking. I want to get out of here as much as you do, but there is no way past those griffins. And, we can't fly, so next time, dont ley them clip your wings!" I told my friends confidently. " Storm, why do humans even want us in the first place?"inquired Lily,Aztec nodding . "I dont know, but maybe Eagle feather will know." I replied, hoping that Eagle Feather knew the answer, I wanted to know too.

the humans put us up in the barn tonight. I think they said something about wolves. We could deal with them ourselves.

I remembered our question from earlier.

" Eaglefeather? " I asked, looking across the barn to Eagle's stall."yes, Storm Cloud?" She replied. " why do the humans want to catch us and our hs in places like these?"

"Because, we are very hard to find, and, humans like the idea of riding on a flying horse, and flying at all." Well, I can't blame them. Flying is amazing! The wind in your mane, the ground so far below you, the feeling of just being lifted up!

my ears twitched. I thought I heard a whimper.

huh!?

there it is agian!

I looked around in the black before opening my stall( she watched the humans do it And used her wing to olen it) and walked over to a stack of hay. A human lay curled up in the hay. She was skinny, and you could see her ribs. For once, I felt bad for a human.

I nudged her with my muzzle and she looked up. I could tell she was scared.

the human foal tried to stand, she could, but barely. I opened my wing to help support her.i knew there was an apple tree just out side the barn, so I led her to the door.she understood, and opened it. She noticed the apple tree, and managed to pick a few, before stumbling. I pushed her gently with my snout, and used my wing to help her up.

I heard a wolf howl, and directed her Inside. She seemed to sense my worry, and closed the barn door. I grabbed fresh straw, and created a large pile in my stall, enough for the girl to hide in. She patted my neck, and followed me into the stall. She gave me an apple, before taking a bite in to a second one she pulled out.

after finishing my apple, I began to get tired, and, before I fell asleep, I checked on the human filly one more time, and wondered, 'Why doesn't she sleep in the human's house with the others? Maybe her dam is gone and she is looking for her sire? I hope she finds her herd.'
