Beep beep beep

The god forsaken sound of my alarm woke me up. In my head I'm absolutely dreading leaving the comfort of my bed.

Still in my tired state, I feel around until I find the alarm and aggressively push the button to make it stop.

As I desperately tried to fall sleep again, someone barges into my room and jumps right on my stomach.

"What the hell?!"

I looked up and saw that Emma was grinning down at me.

I lazily hit her arm.

"I really regret giving you a spare key, you know that, right?"

"Oh, shut up! I'm your ride, so you need to wake up before I leave your lazy ass here."

"Excuse me, but I'm your ride, that's why you walk here every freaking morning!" Emma's house was a street down from my apartment block.

She was still grinning, "Details, details, not important."

"What's important is that you only have twenty minutes left to get ready for the first day of school."

She poked my nose and stood up to walk out of my room, probably to devour the whole fridge.

I looked at my alarm clock. Oh yeah, looks like I did sleep a bit later than usual.

Knowing the time, I rolled out of bed and walked into my bathroom.

"I swear Emma, if you even touch my pancakes I will rip out your throat and feed it to the lady downstairs' cat!"

I walked in to see her munching on an energy bar, I didn't even know I had energy bars.

"Oh please, like I would forget after you've said it every morning since you bought them." She rolled her eyes.

"It's not my fault my food is in danger every time you come by." I said while smearing jam on my pancakes.

I bit in to what I felt was heaven on Earth. I moaned loudly at the taste.

Emma looked at me with discust, "Really? Do you have to moan every time you eat that? I find it absolutely disgusting that you put fruit on something so holy."

Ignoring her, I carried on eating. She doesn't have to understand the goodness of my creation.

"You look like a typical white girl." Emma mentioned while grinning.

I was literally only wearing jeans and a jumper.

"You look like a tourist." I dead panned.

We started walking to my door after I grabbed my backpack.

"Uhm, this is actually really trendy, and it's not my fault you don't understand fashion."

I just looked at her British flag skinny jeans. "Sure, yeah." I blinked a few times, then locked my door behind us.

We walked down the stairs to my garage and got into my Mazda. I absolutely loved my car, almost as much as I loved my motorbike.

When I joined the Labyrinth, the first thing I got was a car. But after the first two months, they gave me a bike since it's easier to disappear using smaller alleys and roads.

"I wish I had a car like this." Emma said and switched to some radio station.

"Maybe if you acted more responsibly, you're parents would buy you one."

Emma had always been a good girl, she had never even tasted alcohol.

Then one night her parents took her to some celebration at their work. She started drinking these really good fruity drinks, she said, and before long she was completely wasted!
