"That was so good!" yelled Aiko as she patted her belly.
You turned towards Ichi to see he was trying to reach the food to his mouth. You smiled and took the fork from his hand and cut it up into pieces. You took a small piece and guided it to his mouth for him to take off the fork. He reached forward and took the food and began chewing with his eyes looking directly at you.
You turned around when you heard a squeal from the waitress around looking at the scene along with Hiyori looking back and blushing at the scene.
You looked back at Ichi to see some syrup stuck to the side of his cheek. You licked your thumb and rubbed the syrup off. At your touch, his face turned into an embarrassing reddish hue to which you gave him a small reassured smile. He swiftly wrapped his hand around your torso to prevent others from seeing his face to which you smiled and patted his head.
"He is so adorably shy," Aiko said squealing from excitement.
"Hm," you replied as you looked down towards him while rubbing his head. You noticed his eyelids closed against the dim light shining through and his breathing deep and relaxed, all the muscles in his face and body were totally at peace.
"Does he have a low tolerance against food coma?" Aiko asked.
"No, he was already tired but he was also hungry and scared so I guess with my comfort he just fell asleep." you replied adjusting him so that he was cradled against your chest.
"I-Is there anything else we can assist you with?" the waitress asked with a small blush on her face as she looked towards the scene of little Ichi laying on you.
"No," you replied, "may you please give us the bill and pack this up?"
"N-No problem," the waitress replied, "I am so jealous that your child is so cute; you and your husband must be lucky to have a beautiful child."
"If only Yato and I lasted that long to even have a child," you thought.
"Actually, I am a single parent and my sister and I are taking care of him," you replied with a kind smile on your face.
Shortly after those words left your mouth, you heard Yato make a small grunt at your comment.
"Did the father walk out?"
"He walked out of the marriage completely and never had the chance to learn of his darling beloved boy, but, as long as my little boy is happy, I am happy," you smiled as the waitress blushed and bowed to retrieve the bill for the meal you had.
Aiko leaned forward and smiled at the story I just told and winked as you smirked and wiggled your eyebrows.
"D-Did you really have to tell a story like that, Midori?" Yato complained.
You looked around the room and cleaned your ears.
"Hey Aiko, did you hear something?" you asked as you looked at your pinky to see no ear wax on it.
"Nope, not at all..." Aiko replied whistling as she looked around the diner.
Yato growled out of irritation while Hiyori went to calm him down from his little temper tantrum.
