Chapter Two- Before interview

I woke up to the loud bangs on my door. Without a shadow of doubt I knew exactly who was behind those doors. I moved my lazy ass out of the bed and opened the door of my apartment. See I was right. It is my best friends. Who else had the authority to bang on my door. My door. That too at this early in the morning. I mean it's 7 am in the morning.

"Don't tell me you forgot! Did you? Ugh Lexie. My boo. You have a meeting fixed sharp at 10 am with The Hot CEO. So your are gonna get ready or you will end up looking like the cake we always ignore!" Kate started lecturing me as soon as I opened the door and she emerged through the door but, I was too mesmerized by what caught my eyes which she Kate has hanged over her arm.

"Is that my dress?"

"No. I actually brought this for your neighbor to her yoga classes. IDIOT! Of course this is yours." God i wonder why Kate is so worried about my interview today. Maybe because she is daddy of the group.always looking out for others.

The dress Kate had brought me was looking so very pretty. It was a simple black knee length dress and it looked perfect and very professional for an interview. Ah I just love that dress. As soon as I had a shower both Kate and Chloe started with my hair and face, as if I was getting married in the very next hour.

"Guys I'm not getting married you know." I smiled very innocently at my best friends and Chloe started after what I just said.

"Ah Lexie! What is wrong with you? This is like a once in a life time opportunity. I mean he offered you this job which means he needs YOU girl. Plus you are an amazing surgeon. Don't put yourself down. Oh and yeah I forgot to tell you. FYI on your wedding day we are gonna hire a beautician and doll you up cause we don't want anything to be less than perfect. Got it?" I gave Chloe a toothy grin and started in my defense.

" Chloe I don't even have a boyfriend yet so maybe you should first find me a groom since we can't have a wedding without one. So, you need to replace ''Doll up Lexie on her wedding day" with "Find Lexie a groom" on your wish list."

After what seems like more than an hour and cotton balls and tissues all over my room's floor, Chloe and Kate were now satisfied. I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked good. At least I like to think I do but I know cause my best friends told me so.

"Damn girl! you look hot as hell. Now go get your ass to the CEO and make us proud." I open my mouth wide open, I dont think Chloe realized what she just said.

"I didn't mean it literally. I dont mind if you do!" Chloe said with a wink.

" Shut up. I am not sleeping with anybody to be successful." With that i got up from my chair and approached the mirror. I looked at my self. the makeup was over done for an interview but i dont want to hurt their feelings so i say nothing and proceed with the big day ahead.

"I am hungry! Can I eat before I go. I am starving" I plead

" Its already 10 and your ride will be probably here so NO" Kate said

" If I were you I will feed before I send her anywhere. who knows she might eat the CEO."

Everbody turned their attention to the knocking door. Chloe opened it. It was a perfectly suited bodyguard looking man. Lets take a guess. Thats my ride to the interview.
