Chapter 2

Adam's POV

I walked behind the woman silently.Not like I could exactly say anything.I thought.We walked through the long halls until we finally reached the front office.The woman I had first met smiled kindly at me, but then her eyes flickered over to the woman leading me and frowned.The woman lead me to the back of the office.

When I entered the room, I saw that boy I had crashed into earlier.He looked up at me with bored eyes.The woman tapped my shoulder and pointed to the chair next to him.I sat down, my eyes flickering between the boy and the woman.

The woman sat down at a desk and started talking to the boy next to me.'Tyler, explain to Adam why you are both here.'Oh, so his name is Tyler.He turned to face me.'We're here because you and your friend were running in the halls, and when we collided you broke my headphones.'He held up a broken pair of dark blue headphones.

I looked at them and shrugged.It's really not a big loss.I signed, and I could tell they didn't understand.The woman slid a piece of paper and a pencil across her desk to me.I grabbed them and wrote, "I'm sorry."

Tyler shrugged, and we both looked at the woman.Her little beady hawk eyes looked right into my glasses and she waved her hand.'Leave, both of you.'I got up and walked out the door, feeling a tap on my shoulder.

I turned to face Tyler.'I hope you're planning on repaying me for my headphones.'I shook my head and walked away.I knew there was probably consequences of doing that, but I was tired, and still hungry, so I couldn't really care.

I made it back to the lunchroom rather quickly.I sat down again, sighing and taking a shark sized bite from my sandwich.I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked over to Mitch, who was smirking.'You alright there?'

Mitch's POV

After Adam came back to the table, he totally ignored everybody and took a huge bite of his sandwich. I could tell he was around 1000% done so I just tapped him on the shoulder.

He looked up at me with this small frown on his face and I just chuckled."Sky, this is Jerome, Jason, and Husky."I said.He nodded, waving to them.Jerome and Jason waved back but Husky just kept playing on his DS.

I tapped his shoulder.He looked up, pushing up his big dorky glasses."What?"I pointed at Sky and he did a little wave, looking back down at his game.I turned to Sky."His name is Husky but we call him Mudkip cause he's obsessed with Pokemon, and Mudkip is his favorite. "

"Or fish!"Jerome said, gaining an irritated sigh from Husky.Sky smiled."Do not call me fish, Jerome, we've been over this.A mudkip is not a fish!"I laughed."That's Jerome, or Bacca."Sky looked confused. Why?

Jerome pulled out his hat, it had a Wookie face on it and had those little pocket things that hung down.He put it on his head and did a little dance.Sky laughed a bit.

"And over there is Jason."Jason waved, his orange glasses flashing in the light.Sky waved, pulling out his schedule.He looked at one of his classes and raised an eyebrow and showed me his paper.His next class was Spanish.I looked at him in confusion.

What's your next class?He signed.I pulled out my schedule, nodding when I saw that we had the same class again.I showed Sky and he nodded to.

I jumped slightly as the bell rang, the sound echoing in my ears."Remind me again why e chose the table closest to the bell?"I asked Jerome.He shrugged." Because YOLO!!"He said, failing his arms and running out of the lunchroom.

I could hear Sky laughing behind me.I turned around and shrugged."That's Jerome for ya."He nodded.We went and got our stuff, making our way to the Spanish room.As we walked in, a small, round old woman approached us.I opened my mouth to say something, but she held up her hand and turned to Sky."You are the new student, correct?"

Sky's POV

I nodded.Then, to my amazement, she started signing to me.I have a nephew who is hearing impaired as well.If you would like a copy of the lesson after class let me know. I nodded, signing a thank you before going to sit down.

Wow, that teacher was sure nicer than the other one.I signed to Mitch, sitting down.He nodded."Yeah." Soon enough, more students began to make their way into the classroom.I felt someone's hand hit the back of my head.I jerked foreword, grabbing the back of my head and turning around.

There was nobody there.I shrugged.Whatever.Mitch tapped my shoulder.'You ok?'I nodded.He nodded at me, turning to face the teacher.As she talked, I realized I probably would need a copy of the lesson.

After class, I talked to the Spanish teacher, I learned her name was Mrs.Rea, about getting a copy of the lesson.She said she would give it to me tomorrow.The rest of the day went by rather quickly after that.

Soon, it was time to go home.I walked to my locker, opening it up and putting away my books and such.A piece of paper fell out of my locker.I picked it up and sighed at the words written on it.Go back to where you came from.I realized there would be a lot more to this whole, "New school" thing than I thought.
