"Put your instruments away and get ready for lunch!" said my Orchestra teacher. Finally, it's time for lunch! I hurried up and I put my cello away in the lockers and got my backpack. On my way to lunch, Jesse literally popped up in front of me and kept on asking "Can I play with your phone? Can I play with your phone?" I have this Korean game on my phone that he's obsessed with. It started last year when we had free time in orchestra and our teacher let us play with our phones. I played that game one time in orchestra and he saw it. Got way too interested. And now, he asks me for my phone every single day or he either steals it. I really don't understand how he plays this game when everything is in Korean. Well I said I'll let him play with my phone later.
When we get to lunch, I go straight to the "Asian table" and it has our orchestra teacher's name stuck on to it. "Does this mean assigned tables?" I asked Bella.
"No... I don't think so..." She says.
"But it kinda is the Asian table because orchestra is mostly Asians... And Jesse.
I turn around and I see Jesse sitting right next too me. We really didn't find what to call Jesse though... The vice principal says stuff and we really don't pay attention, we just eat... Secretly. We're actually not supposed to eat but the teachers really don't notice sometimes.
The vice principal dismissed us for lunch and Angela comes up to me and says "Aww... Pillow." I just act like I didn't hear that. Kevin and Cathy come over to our table too. According to Cathy, we don't have assigned tables, it was just a sign to show which class sits at which table as soon as we come in. Since we can sit anywhere, Jesse moves tables to sit with his friends and Alice, Maddy, and a bunch of other people come.
After we're done eating we started talking about 6th grade. Heh, good times. Bella reminded us of when we "learned how to clap with two hands". All of a sudden Maddy's all like "HEY YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT I LEARNED TODAY? HOW TO CLAP WITH TWO HANDS!" And as usual, we all clap! It wasn't that awkward since they start this thing called transition by now and it's basically going outside for basketball or playing out on the field. One of our P.E. teachers came by and Maddy said to the teacher, "WE LEARNED HOW TO CLAP WITH TWO HANDS TODAY!" And of course, we all clapped. All the teacher did was just give a small laugh and went by. I bet that teacher though we were really weird...
"How do you clap with one hand then?" Bell asked. So we started trying to clap with one hand. Some of us did this weird hand flap thing but not all of us could do it. Only Maddy was able to do it correctly. Instead of trying that. I just "clapped" (more of a high five)with Bella. While I was "clapping" I could see Jesse trying to do that weird hand flap thing. Haha, he looked so funny doing that, he was all alone at his table too. I went to him and sat next to him and asked, "can you do the thing Maddy was doing?" "No..." He said, trying to do what Maddy did. "Haha, I can't do that either..." I said. I went back to the Asian table, secretly got Bella's friend book where it has stuff your friends fill out, and went back to Jesse. Me and Jesse really like playing around with Bella a lot. Most of the time we're a team and well.... Bella's alone. She has a lot of stuff everywhere in her backpack so it's easy to get her things secretly. We read the book together and it was really interesting. Then we for to the page I wrote when I came over to Bella's house. I mostly scribbled and doodled on those pages but I did write what I disliked. "Pink American erasers? You dislike pink American erasers?" said Jesse.
"They never erase well..." I said.
"I have used pink erasers many times and they work well."
"They always make a hole in my paper though.... That's why I use those Asian erasers"
"Wow...."
We both laughed since it was a really interesting talk about erasers!
"Your lunch is over" said our vice principal. We got our backpacks and headed to out next classes. On our way I asked Jesse where he wanted to meet up after school to play with my phone. He said to meet up at the flagpole but I forgot where that was. I felt really stupid... So he basically explained where it is and after a few words I remembered.
We walked to class. I went to language arts and he went to science.
