I was about to say something when I heard the door fly open. Violet and I looked back to see her mom struggling with grocery bags trying to get through the door. I didn't want to be rude, so I helped her by picking up two torn plastic bags to the island in the kitchen.

"Thank you...?" she asked. She seemed a little surprised at my sudden presence, but I didn't want to just leave her struggling.

"Mom this is Ashton Irwin" Violet spoke up.  I loved the way my name sounded coming out of her mouth.

"Oh very nice to meet you. I'm Teresa" she said cheerfully while setting the bags down and shaking my hand. I was very nervous because I had just met these people. "Um I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but why is he here, again?" her mom asked.

"Oh he ran into a bit of trouble so I helped him. He looked very concerned." Ha, sarcastic.

"Oh" her mom said.  "Can I do anything to help?" I didn't really know how to answer that question, considering what happened. I just answered in a very ominous way.

"Um, I guess don't let me go home" I said while looking down at my dirty, black converse, noticing my accent slip through. Her mom looked very concerned by that response.

"Oh well Ashton, you are more than welcome to stay here in the guest room as long as you need to. Do you need any clothes?" Wow, I didn't realize that I forgot clothes.

"Um yes probably, but they're at my house" Well that's a problem. I can't go back there.

"Oh" was her only response. It's around 5:30, no one should be home right now.

"Uh I don't think anyone is home, I can go and quickly get some, it's right down the street"

"Do you need me to drive you, I can if you want" her mom kindly offered.

"Um no it's best if I go alone in that part of town. Wouldn't want anything happening to you two." She just agreed and so I picked up my bandana and went on my way.

I walked quickly down the red dirt road for 20 minutes before I got into my old neighborhood. I have to admit, I was a bit scared. I didn't know if he would show up randomly. The house at the end of the street had strobing lights and cars parked in the yard, which means that he's over there. Perfect. I walked inside the beaten up house and up to my room. I found my duffle bag and started throwing my clothes inside. Just as I was about to leave,I heard shuffling behind me, I stood up straight, hoping it wasn't who I thought it was. When I turned around, he was standing in the doorway of my room, holding a beer bottle.

"Well well. Look who came running back" he said as he got closer. I backed away slowly, knowing what he was capable of.

"Get away from me" I said sternly.

"What are you gonna do. Wuss" he said throwing his beer can at me. The glass broke on my head and blood starting drizzling down my face.

"You shouldn't have done that" every bone in my body was stiffening up, ready to strike. My arms started flexing so I could get enough stamina. With one blow, he was on the ground in pain. I grabbed my bag and ran back before he could get me. Luckily , he didn't and I darted out of the room.

Once I reached the house it was almost 7. I knocked on the door a bunch of times until Violet's mom answered the door.

"Oh my gosh Ashton! Are you alright? Come in come in!" I saw Violet turn her head from the TV and her eyes grew wide.

"Ashton!" They both quickly inspected the cut on my head and looked at me with concern.

"Vi, go clean him up I'll find the first aid kit" She pulled me upstairs to the bathroom and sat me on the toilet seat. She then took a blue washcloth with some rubbing alcohol and started dabbing my bleeding wound. When the cloth came into contact with my head, I winced at the pain.

"I'm sorry this happened." she said.

"Don't worry I'm fine. Just a lil cut" I smiled cheekily. She just moved back at my wound, carefully removing the blood.

"You know, you probably might want to consider not going back. At least stay. For a while"

I gave a bit of a shocked look. I could tell she felt awkward for saying that, because she blinked and went back to what she was doing. She looked very beautiful from this view right now. She looked back down at me, noticing that I was smirking and just blushed. Then her mom came in with the first aid kit.

"Vi, go get his room ready" She gave her okay, smiled at me, and then left. Afterwards, They lead me to a small guest room with a dresser, bed, nightstand, and a closet. I just laid down on my bed, taking in the aroma of a glade scanty that was plugged into the wall.

I stripped down into my boxer and just crawled onto the bed and leaned back so my head was on the pillow. Wow, this is the first time I've been in a real bed. The silk sheets between my toes felt like magic. The soft, plush pillow was the most amazing thing I have ever felt. My neck was properly propped enough so I could sleep peacefully. I breathed in, smelling the glade scents that was plugged into the wall. The comforter on top of me was very warm and cuddly. I gathered it in my grasp and bundled myself up and finally closed my eyes.

At around 2 in the morning, I heard my door open. A sleepy Violet walked through and just stood by my bed. She didn't really say anything, in fact her eyes were still closed. Must be a sleepwalker. "Vi-" I cut myself off, knowing it's not safe to wake up a sleepwalker. I just grabbed her shoulders and lead her back to her room. Once she was inside, I picked her up bridal style and just layed her on her bed while covering her with her comforter. She re-adjusted herself to cuddle with her pillow, so I knew she was asleep. I just kissed her forehead and went back to my own room and fell asleep.
