When Nicholas arrived back in the UK with his relay team, Sonic and his team were waiting for them at Heathrow Airport.
Sonic's team caught an earlier flight the day before. They gave him a hero's welcome.
"Well done Speedster, we're proud of you." Sonic gave him a huge hug to show his happiness and immediately, the rest of the Sonic and Nicholas' teams piled on top of them and they all collapsed on the floor.
"Thanks guys. Just let me know when you're going to do that in future." Nicholas was proud of the support he'd received during the trials.
The teams got to know each other better as they went home to get some rest ahead of training the next day.
"So, you guys know each other from the World Cup last summer." Dale was first to start.
"Indeed we do and look what we brought back." Henman then pulled out a vuvuzela from his hand luggage.
"Two can play at that game," And Sonic pulled his out. Soon afterwards, they all had vuvuzelas and were about to blow them when...
"Security at 12 o'clock." Sonic then started running.
"You sure Sonic, it's only," Nicholas looked round and saw a security man coming towards them.
Everyone dropped their vuvuzelas and ran after Sonic, who still had his. "Make sure you listen to Sonic when it comes to things like this."
"Did you guys forget something?" Sonic asked.
"We left our vuvuzelas at Heathrow." Henrik replied.
He then heard sirens coming behind them.
"Can anyone run any faster?" James asked.
"We'll try," Everyone shouted. "Ready, set, GO!" And they ran as fast as they could, as though they were trying to beat Sonic the Hedgehog in a race.
"I never thought that we would have to be running from security." James said.
"On the other front, this does give us some training. Which way's fastest to Crystal Palace?" Sonic was looking around to see if they'd lost the security vehicle.
"Anyone got any money with them?" Jason asked.
"Why are you asking for money when we're getting chased by security?"
"There's a bus coming just now." Jason pointed to a red bus that was heading to Green Park.
"Just what we need," Sonic put his arm out to stop the bus. They all got on. Sonic counted how many people were with him. "10 singles to Green Park please." He said to the bus driver.
"That's fifteen pounds please." The driver responded.
"I'll pay guys," Sonic gave the driver the money. "Thanks."
They got to Green Park and managed to escape the security, for now.
"That was close but I think we lost them," Sonic tried to catch his breath. "Never thought we'd be running so far for so long. Anyway, where next?"
"We can take the Victoria line to Brixton and then get another bus to Crystal Palace." Jason suggested.
"Fair enough. We'll do just...that," Jamie said and he was turning his head when, disaster. "Change of plan...RUN!" and he legged it.
"Where's he off to in such a hurry?" A security guard spotted the group and Jamie.
They were busted.
