I don't remember.
I can't remember.

I don't know why I can't remember.
Who am I?
Where did I come from?
Where am I going?

I don't know.
I can't remember!

I woke up in my small cell. The same one I've been in for the past three weeks. My eyes opened slightly, revealing the (E/C) hue in them that had a tinge of red in the outer ring. I sat up slowly, and covered my face with my hands. The same hands that used to be delicate and clean that were now dirty with blood and calloused.
They imprisoned me, for my crimes.
I committed a deadly sin. And now I would have to bear the burden of it forever.

I couldn't help but clutch my hands into fists and hang my head in shame.
I killed them...
Killed them all....
I betrayed them.....

The chants continued in my head, as the angry voices got louder.

You killed all of them!

Betrayed them!

You beast!
Monster!

You should die!

I should just... die in this cell...

The cell I had been kept in was located in Danafor, a neighbor kingdom of Liones. And that was the place where I would lay for the rest of my life.
At least, that's what I thought.

There was a knock on the metal door.

"Hey! Beast! You've got a visitor!"  The guard outside yelled in a mocking tone.

I growled. He annoyed me, but I couldn't kill him. I had already done enough.
I heard they keys jingling, and slowly raised my head. What's going on?

The door creaked open and I stared with my cold (E/C) eyes at the person who entered. I was mildly surprised when I saw a little boy wearing the clothes of a Danafor Knight.

"Careful sir, she's dangerous

"Careful sir, she's dangerous." The guard spoke.

The little boy walked towards me and crouched. "What's your name?"

I frowned, gritting my teeth.  I scooted back. My breath caught in my throat as I kept crawling away from the little kid that kept trying to get closer to me.

The boy turned to look at the guard. "She does know how to talk, right?"

I frowned deeper, looking away from the kid's emerald eyes. What does he want with me?

"Yes sir, but she hasn't spoken a word since we brought her here." The guard answered. He snickered, putting his gloved hands on his hips. "After all, she does get punished daily for her crimes."

As soon as he spoke, I sensed a terrible, powerful aura coming from the boy. His eyes darkened, and he looked back at the scared guard. "I'm taking her with me. No one will torture or harm her anymore. Got that?" His tone was cold and authoritative. He turned to look at me, and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you from now on." The blonde boy turned back to the guard. "Leave us."

"Y-yes sir!" The guard jumped back and bowed, leaving us alone in a hurry.

I gulped scooting back a bit more from the boy, hiding my face behind my hair. Why was he being nice to me? Take care of me? Protect me? Yeah, right. No one in their right mind would do that.

The boy turned back to me and sat down on the floor in front of me. He smiled gently at me, making my unbeating heart flutter.
"My name is Meliodas. What is your name?"

I finally raised my head, to meet his gaze. His bright emerald eyes stared right at mine. I gulped and shivered. "U-um (Y-Y/n)..." I said quietly.

Meliodas grinned brightly and stood up, holding his hand out for me. "(Y/N), don't worry. I'll protect you from now on. Your crimes will be forgiven, and you will serve by my side, as a Holy Knight of Danafor, okay?"

My eyes widened and I gulped.

"H-huh?!" I exclaimed, finally raising my head and taking a good look at the boy.

He had messy blonde hair, big emerald green eyes, and a small frame that looked stronger than it should have. The clothes were a bit too big for him, but his gauntlets and leg armor fit perfectly.

The thing that enticed me were his eyes; those were the eyes of someone who had lived and seen too much. The eyes of someone who longed for closure.
Those eyes of his were full of sadness and rage.

He smiled at me, still holding his hand out. "So, are you gonna take my hand?"

Maybe...maybe this is my new chance at a new start... I stared at him with wide curious eyes and hesitantly grabbed his small hand.

It all started then.

I met the love of my life.

But the end had started.
