I follow Sam though the twisting corridors until he stops at room 284.
"Here we go my lady. I hope you like old music because your roommate isn't with the music times," Sam says painfully.
"Maybe I'll get her into Sleeping with Sirens or Pierce The Veil," I suggest.
"Good luck. And just for future reference shes a good girl." Sam says with that expression you do when you know something is almost impossible. He knocks on the door.
"Sam piss off. I have no more pencils you can borrow!" A girl shouts though the door. I raise my eyebrows at Sam.
"I thought you said she was a good girl?" I ask.
"She's obviously done something wrong in her homework. KATE OPEN UP, YOUR NEW ROOMMATE IS HERE!" Sam shouts though the door. The door swings open and there is a petite girl with her brown hair in a messy bun and her glasses fixed firmly on her head.
"Hi. My name is Kate Marie Hudson," Kate says sticking her hand out. I shake it.
"I'm Ella," I say simply.
"Come in Ella. I'll show you around our room. Bye Sam," Kate says slamming the door in Sam's face.
I look around the room. There our two doors leading to different rooms. In this room there our two desks, a sofa, a TV and a little kitchen.
"This is the living area, I'm guessing," I ask looking around the clean area.
"Yep. Sorry it's messy, I'm usually cleaner than this. Ok though that door is the bathroom," she says pointing t the door on the left, "and that room is our bedroom. Ill show you." She leads me too the door on the right and opens it. "That bed near the window is mine, your is the one near the wall. If you want to swap that's ok," Kate says looking at me.
"No that's fine. I can hang my posters up then. I can hang posters up right?"
"Yeah sure. Um I'll leave you to get unpacked. Your bed sheet is in the wardrobe, you need to make your bed. Right I'm going t finish my essay. Call me if you need any help," she says cheerfully. How can anyone be this cheerful.
I pull my black suitcase on to the bed and pull my shoulder bag off my shoulder. I zip my suitcase open and pull my posters out which were on top. Then I pull out all my t-shirts. I go over to the draw at the end of my bed and put them in. Next my shorts and underwear. I pull out my skinny jeans and hang them up in the wardrobe. I pull out the bed stuff and dump that on my bed to make room for my shoes. I put my 5 pairs of converse and my 2 pairs of vans in plus my black heels. I hang up my 2 dresses that own. I grab my suitcase off my bed and shove that in the wardrobe. I put my shoulder bag on my dresser. I grab my posters off my bed and hand them up over my bed and on the wall near my bed.
"Woah. Sorry to interrupt but dinner is ready," Kate says coming into the room.
"Do you like it?" I ask.
"It looks different but different is good. The only problem is that I don't know any of those bands."
"You don't know Sleeping With Sirens or Pierce The Veil?" I ask pointing to the two posters, "Or The Wanted or Memphis May Fire?"
"Well I guess I know now. I usually listen to what people call old music," Kate says ashamed.
"So what if you listen to old music. I listen to flipping One Direction because of my mum and they are in there late thirties! Maybe I'll get you into to one of these bands?"
"You might. Come on let's go down to the dining hall," Kate says dragging me though our dorm and out to the corridor. She leads me though the twisting corridors I had once walked though earlier that day.
